Ric Yuenn is a designer renowned as a custom dress maker in Gastown. Ric has been in business for over 20 years. Visit the shop and choose from his already made dresses and receive tailoring for free. I came here to browse just to check out what his dress options were for a special event IE: Wedding. A little out of my price range unexpectedly, however, amazing dresses and the customer service was good. Store was well organized and easy to navigate.

Yuenn R B is a cute little boutique in Gastown filled with unique dresses from local designer Ric Yuenn and other not very known brands.
I’ve had a dress custom made at this store for a wedding and to this day, I still love it. You can choose the material as well as the style, but it’s not cheap. The quality in the workmanship is definitely there.
I would probably frequent this shop a lot more if Ric was a less grumpy. The 3 times I came in to shop, he was grumpy and that’s a huge buzz-​kill. I’d be in a good mood, ready to buy a dress and in the end, I won’t buy the item if I’m not completely in love with it.

Located in the Gastown district, Ric Yuenn’s boutique stocks unique dresses designed and created in Vancouver. I was drawn to the clearance rack ($ 39), as I was tempted to buy a gold lame frock that was so unlike me, but sometimes it’s good to step outside your comfort zone. Unfortunately nothing fit!
He also has other designers in addition to his own label. Cool spot, this is one spot I would go back to to see what’s in stock.
His dressing room at the top of a set of stairs is not for the vertically-​challenged. One wrong step and you could end up in an embarrassing situation!

Yuenn is a local designer who creates 30 dresses per month on average. He’s as sweet as a peach and will help you find anything you need. He’ll even do custom creations if you’re sweet to his staff.
I sneak a look inside the store regularly just to see the array of vintage fabrics and dress styles he’s shaking out of his sleeve. High waisted skirts, classic 50’s inspired necklines, sexy fabrics. You have to visit.
Tailoring is included in the purchase price!
Great pricing: I bought a one of a kind cream knee-​length skirt on sale for $ 50 – regular price would have been $ 150 but this was a steal.
Lots of clothing for women who love great style. Come here for a date night dress, a casual summer look, or a sexy ballroom gown and never worry about some other tart wearing your style.
