I have had two separate, bad experiences with R&B.
Firstly, six years ago, I bought over $ 10,000– worth of Hunter Douglas Blinds for our home, which come with a «Full LIfetime Warranty». When one of the pull-cords broke, I phoned R&B, only to be told that «wear and tear» is not covered and that the Warranty would not apply and it would be $ 100– to fix the cord. After taking a huge sum of money from me, R&B now have no interest in servicing a cord which should have lasted much longer than 6 years. They have now lost my future business, as I would have expected the repair to be covered, if not by the Warranty than as a gesture of goodwill for a customer who had made such a big order.
I also had a Salesman from R&B measure for a new blind for a patio window. He recommended that the blind hang over the window handle, which would then make it impossible to open the door when the blind was down. His recommendation was to change the door handle! Two other blind companies also quoted, both of whom told me that the blind should never cover the door handle and that a narrower blind was required. Pleasant salesman, but didn’t know what he was talking about.
