A friend and I came here on a Wed night earlier this week and were immediately impressed by how cozy, modern, and spacious this place was! It actually looks quite similar to Games on Tap on Weber. It’s $ 5/person, not a bad rate at all. It was not too packed when we went, allowing us to sit at a larger table for more board game space. They have a number of daily specials. We were there for 2.99 drinks(some drinks normally priced at 4.99) — got taro bubble tea and London Fog. Both drinks were pretty standard. They also serve alcoholic drinks. There was just 1 staff member who was working there and he taught us how to play one of the more complicated games and answer any questions — he was super helpful! We spent about 3 hours in there. The staff member didn’t kick us out even though it was well past closing hours(I didn’t know until I looked on their website just now). They seem to be pretty lenient :) My only complaint is that their selection is decent but not very large. There seems to be only 1 or 2 copies of each game, so if another group is playing, you probably won’t see it on the shelf. Overall a great entertainment option in Waterloo, close to both universities and easy parking.
