Four Seasons Resort and Residences Whistler

I love this resort! Besides the excellent customer service, the design of the lobby to poolside fits the beautiful outdoor setting. The staff are excellent and very attentive. A simple yet lovely feature is the House Car… Don’t wanna drive and risk a negative cop encounter? Use the Mercedes House Car (GL550). They’ll drop you off in the village or where ever in sure (we just used it for the Village and Scandinave Spa). The gym and spa locker rooms are great. I love working out and then sitting in the eucalyptus steam room, getting soaked after by cold water in the rain shower and then heading up to the hot tub. It’s such a relaxing experience! Their restaurant is great but I haven’t experienced a full dinner service (just appies and beers). Oh and who doesn’t love free wine tasting starting at 4pm daily?! Located perfectly in the Upper Village, this 5-​star experience is worth it! Also, for you BC and WA residents, they have a special rate for us.

Fantastic hotel! Super awesome staff that was always friendly and accommodating. The concierge was beyond phenomenal in helping us decide what attractions to see and booking them for us.
I liked that the maid service came in every evening to clean up and give water at the bedside table. Excellent little touch.
The grounds are beautiful too.

Here with the family. What’s can you say 5 star as usual. Personalized cookies and robes for the kids. Rooms spacious huge bathroom. Poolside service was a bit slow (but they quickly corrected it with extra staff) The service is what separates it from the pack. From the time you pull up to the valet every one helpful pleasant and cared. Can’t wait to stay again.

Great bar/​lounge area for après ski. Definitely recommended. Enjoy your vacation here.

From the time we arrived until the time we departed the stay in Whistler was great. The people and the staff at the four seasons were like no place I had ever stayed.

What a huge disappointment this resort is! I’ve stayed at many four seasons resorts and have had excellent service. This resort hands down is the worst of all the resorts I have visited! What a major disappointment. The staff are very arrogant and full of themselves. I have now at here for over 4 hours waiting on our room and they have done nothing to make us feel welcome! What a horrible way to start our holiday!!!

My boyfriend and I stayed here mid October, beautiful time to go, great weather, wonderful views from the balcony, staff was beyond accommodating and friendly. I will be back next October for his birthday. The four seasons in whistler was beyond amazing to say the least.

We had high hopes for the hotel and were incredibly let down.
First of all, the hotel is very dated (think 2000s — cherry wood, travertine tile and granite countertops). The room we stayed in was reasonably large but uninspired and not particularly luxurious. It struck me as the type of place that would have been luxurious in the 80s.
The hotel is also a fair distance from the village. We were told we could catch the shuttle any time («not more than a 10 minute wait!») but, despite trying very hard to use it we never managed to catch it once. Our last time we were told it would be a 50 minute wait.
Our one meal at the hotel was awful. The burger was worse than you would expect at something like a Jack Astor’s and staff in the dining room were inattentive. The dining room was understaffed and tables sat dirty and unbussed.
The biggest issue was the across the board lack of customer service. It was clear the weekend we were there that the hotel was incredibly understaffed (and staff told us this several times). All of our interaction with staff involved people looking frantic that we were interrupting them as they went about their job. We felt like a massive inconvenience the entire time.
At this price point there are lots of other luxury hotels at Whistler that are a) closer to the action b) more beautifully appointed c) have better food and service d) have strong customer service and e) are less expensive! I would absolutely not return here.

We have stayed at a few other Four Seasons and this one by far has the worst service. The people at the concierge is rude, especially this lady named Jennifer. Also the service at their restaurant Side Cut is laughable. My husband was there for breakfast one morning, ordered congee, fruits, eggs… etc off their menu, the waitress came over and ask whether the food was good, my husband said the congee is actually pretty bad, and the waitress was like: oh I’m sorry to hear that, and just walked away. I mean why ask if you’re not going to do something about it? Also we were in the village for drinks and called to request the shuttle around 11:15pm, the lady at the concierge said their shuttle service ended at 11pm and I can call for a cab myself. I told my husband and he can’t believe they didn’t offer to get us a cab. I won’t be complaining if we’re staying at Holiday Inn Express, but this is Four Seasons and we expect a certain level of service, and they certainly didn’t not meet that standard. However, the valet service is great and the spa is also very pleasant. All in all, we will never stay at Four Seasons in Whistler again.

This resort is beautiful to say the least. The pool is a bit small, but the handsome pool boys make up for that. They would bring around frozen grapes, chilled hand towels, or spritz us with cucumber water. My family had a good-​size villa type room that included two full baths, one king size bed, a couch with pull out bed, two television sets, and a balcony.

* The Best Perky Hotel in Whistler *
Let me just get this out of the way up front — when in Whistler this is the best hotel to stay in my opinion. Yes, it is a bit of a walk from the hectic parts of Whistler Village. But there is a big positive for me — it is a bit of a walk from the hectic parts of Whistler Village. And if for some reason you don’t feel like walking they will drop you off and pick you up anywhere in Whistler whenever you want. But Whistler is so walkable that the option is nice to know that it is there — but I can’t tell you how well it works.
As is typical for Four Seasons, the service is what sets this property apart from the others. The Four Seasons training shows through and through. It is the type of service that is on top of things, yet with a very casual vibe as appropriate for a resort location. Although I note that they read the customers very well, because at dinner there was a nearby table that clearly wanted a less casual approach to service and the servers lived up to that table’s expectations perfectly while maintained the preferred casual vibe for us. Customizing the service based upon reading the guests — a sign of truly superb service.
The front desk was kind enough to provide an early check-​in and upgrade our room to a nice King bedded room with a view. Entering the room there was a very large walk-​in closet (yes, it was the size of a room in some New York or Tokyo hotels) and a huge bathroom with walk-​in shower, separate soaking tub, dual sinks, and a separate toilet room. My one bit of feedback would be that the balconies could have been designed with a bit more privacy from the neighbouring ones. But that is nitpicky.
The turndown service was a nice pottery bottle filled with water. A chocolate or sweet would have been a nice additional touch — but again, just being nitpicky.
The complimentary wine tasting in the bar offered up 2 wines from a small winery North of Whistler, and they served very generous full glass pours while seated at a table with full table service. The waiter was very professional and regularly offered refills as well as a variety of snacks. Very comfortable feel to relax there for a while enjoying some new wines.
Dinner in Sidecut was a playful affair. They were serving a reverse menu which started with dessert, then the main, and finally the appetizer. Amazingly things worked with the dessert having hints of savouryness in an herbed blueberry panna cotta to start things off well. The lamb main was prepared perfectly. And I’m extremely fussy about lamb. They nailed it with it being perfectly medium rare throughout (I’m guessing it was sous vide prior to finishing it off). The bone marrow app to end the meal worked surprisingly well, leaving the palate surprisingly light due to the seasoning and preparation. Very playful menu overall. It was nice that they included the dinner with the room as a complimentary add-​on perk. That was a very nice, and much appreciated, service touch.
Another nice service touch was the breakfast perk — order whatever you’d like from the menu in the restaurant and just enjoy. I was amused when I asked what types of omelet fillings they had available and the waitress said, «Pretty much whatever you’d like — what would be your preferred fillings?» And in fact they delivered on that with a nice fluffy expertly prepared goat cheese and basil omelet per my request. Nice.
The spa and pool area is on the smaller side, but very comfortable. It was pleasant to change into a soft fluffy robe on the way out to the pool, enjoy some citrus water sitting pool side, go for a dunk, head inside for a eucalyptus steam, shower off, and head back out to the pool. Made for a relaxing afternoon after hiking the beautiful nearby trails.
Check-​out was extended to give a late check-​out as another nice service gesture, and the final touch was the valet putting bottles of cold water into the car for the drive back.
Overall a very pleasant and relaxing stay at what I consider the best hotel in Whistler. It provides top notch service, plenty of value, and doesn’t nickle and dime you for extras (With the exception of valet parking which they really should just include as another service perk, instead of charging $ 40/​night and up the room price a bit to cover the expense if needed)!

This is the best hotel chain! Beautiful rooms with traditional furnishings everything feels as luxurious as it looks. The staff are always ready on hand with a smile on their face anticipating your next move! First class amenities and spa.

A beautifully decorated mountain hotel with top notch services and free ski valet. There are shuttles to both Whistler and Blackcomb, albeit inconvenient if you yearn for the hustle and bustle village apre ski scene which I am fine to do without.

I stayed at the Four Seasons in Whistler for Gay Ski Week, even though I don’t ski!
But I can snow shoe, which is a guided hike into the wilderness.
I also rode a snow mobile for the first time.
Whistler is like an artificial village, everything looks brand new, all the buildings are designed to compliment each other. Nothing is out of place.
The Four Seasons was wonderful.
I enjoyed their restaurant a great deal, during my stay I tried every exotic Canadian delicacy on the menu, including Elk, Moose, Reindeer, Bison, and every other North American game meat you can imagine.
When I travel I strive to sample things I may never have imagined eating at home.
I had no idea wild game was so popular in British Columbia.
I especially enjoyed spa treatments after a day snow shoeing in six foot deep snow drifts.
I had a lovely suite all to myself including a small kitchen.

Superb service in every way.
We recently returned from a week’s stay.
My wife and younger son are gluten and egg intolerant. The kitchen staff and dining room management went out of their way to accommodate my family’s needs with gluten free toast, muffins and pancakes at breakfast. They also delivered a care package with gluten free snacks for us on our departure.
If you want a truly relaxing and easeful stay at Whistler, stay here!

I’ve stayed at this property at least 4 times in the past 18 months and I’m simply amazed by the property overall and it’s highly professional staff. I’m typically a Starwood person all around, but the Westin doesn’t come close to this hotels rooms note is facilities!
If you can do it.. Do it. Worth every penny.

To say it easiest I want to live here. The Four Seasons always provides a five star experience and leaves no request undone. Four Seasons Whistler lives up to every expectation.
We stayed here for a couple nights last week and had a wonderful room with a patio where I insisted we have coffee every morning and wine every night. The room was gorgeous with the infamous huge closet and bathroom. Again I could live here. The turndown service every night was perfectly timed around 6pm.
We did lots of mountain bike riding on this trip and the hot tub and pool area were absolutely perfection after a long day on the hills.
The staff here are all the most friendly, funny, nice and amazing people you will meet. And don’t forget to use the Mercedes town cars to get around the village– included of course.

I was excited to stay at this hotel and come to Whistler. The hotel is right next to Blackcomb mountain and is a 5 min walk or you can take one of their free shuttles. They had an amazing restaurant Sidecut plus a more casual bar Fifty Two 80 for Apres-​Ski.
The concierge was helpful in making restaurant reservations and accommodating our ski equipment. There is a store where you can rent the skis/​snowboard downstairs at the hotel and they bring it to the ski concierge that’s right at Blackcomb for an easy experience without having to lug your stuff around.
My favorite was the pool and the 3 hot tubs. They serve food and drinks until about 7 pm. So it was great to relax outside looking at the snow after a long day on the mountain while having some hot wine.
The rooms very spacious. I had a walk in closet and a whole living room with a fireplace.
Can’t wait to come back!

My very first time staying at any of the Four Seasons resorts and I am not disappointed!
The staff were absolutely superb, hands down the very BEST service I’ve ever had while staying at any resort. They are absolutely great at making recommendations on different places to visit or activities to try.
The room was so beautiful. I loved the fireplace, and loved the bathroom even more!
They have complimentary wine tasting and cheese plate every night from 1600 – 1700 in the bar. And complementary s’mores making at the fireplace in the courtyard. We were told by one of the staff that the trick is to go in for the wine tasting, leave for some s’mores, and then come right back in for another round of wine tasting.
My stay was such a great experience, I was so sad to leave. Can’t wait to visit again!!!

We came here for our annual company trip a few months ago and it was fabulous!!! The rooms are clean and the bed/​pillows are super comfortable. I love their bathrooms too. They have a bathtub and a shower and the toilet is separate from the rest of the bathroom.
The hotel itself is gorgeous, a little far from everything, but at least it’s within walking distance to the main Gondola area. Their restaurant for breakfast is delicious too. Service is high-​class and there’s a lot to do there too! I loved that they had a ping pong table and air hockey in the lobby area, although I’m not sure if that was for our group or if that’s there all the time.
Regardless, we had an amazing stay because of how spoiled we felt. Dogs are welcome too!
