We had lunch here yesterday — it’s at the top of the 7th heaven lift on Blackcomb. While small, I thought the food here was absolutely delicious. I had the goulash with sausage and mashed potatoes. I’d never had goulash before but I absolutely loved it. Another guy I was with had the chicken pot pie and he was raving about it as well. It’s definitely a small place — not your sit down and grab a long lunch kind of place. Tables turn quickly. The staff was extremely friendly, we had no trouble getting a table at about 11:15, and the food was extremely good! Definitely recommend!

Tiny little hut with a few food items and for a quick break. I needed some food and to use the bathroom and didn’t really want to go all the way down the mountain. So we stopped in here. I really didn’t like that the bathrooms are in a separate building behind the main hut. So you would have to walk outside into the bathroom building in the cold. The food items selection is very slim, and the hot chocolate machine was broken when we were there. The hut is also super small, so it can get crowded really quickly. There’s also no running water at the top of the mountain, so there’s no where to wash your hands. I heard something about waffles at this place, and they didn’t have it either when we were there. The whole experience was very lame.

Very tight inside so if you’re looking for some grub or hot cocoa, finish up your run and chow down on one of the other bigger lodges. Oh, the restroom is gross! Go in, do your business and get the hell out of dodge! Don’t bother FB’ing or Unilocaling in there either. Eeww.

This is a very small hut near the top of 7th Heaven on Blackcomb. They have soups, danishes, meat pies, and European cheese and deli meats. I stopped in to grab a late breakfast and had the goulash while my dining partners opted for the beef meat pie and chicken meat pie. The goulash was good and hearty, the meat pies came with a side of mashed potatoes, gravy, and a small wiener. Best part was, the food was good and it did not break the bank.

Great food near the top of the mountain. It’s a bit hard to get to, so it’s not too crowded even at peak lunch hours. European-style, featuring soups, wieners, meat and cheese plates, and great breads.

Being so small, the Horstman’s food selection is limited to chili, soup, and burgers when the weather’s nice. The food really isn’t why you go to Horstman though. On those bright, clear winter days, there is not a better vista in the world. Standing on the front deck you can overlook mountain after mountain. The rolling majesty is breathtaking. I definite must for anyone with a lift pass. Warning for snowboarders: It’s a real pain to get to. Be prepared for either the longest cat track of your life(take the lower cat track because it’s a little shorter) or a series of T-Bars which I hate even more. Beginner skiiers shouldn’t have a problem getting or leaving there though.
