We accidentally ended up here when taking a wrong run, wrong lift, who knows. So we stopped to gather ourselves, and have a beer. That’s all we had. Just a beer. But they have these ginormous nachos apparently, we say someone walking them around to a table. Holy Nachos. It’s definitely not as busy as Longhorn. It’s pretty chill, depends what you’re looking for.

This was right near where we were staying so we had dinner here our first night. We were pleasantly surprised. The food was really good, service was good, and the prices were very reasonable. The atmosphere is casual and there was a DJ playing music. Would definitely recommend.

Great after a day on the mountain. Service at the bar is great. Very friendly staff. We each ordered a cocktail– baileys & coffee, margarita, cabin monster, and a mountain sunset(I think that was what it was). All well made. We also had chorizo poutine fries. It was a salt bomb but it was delish. We finished with a shotsky of tequila. This bar was a good time.

The poutine with bacon and mushroom burger were pretty awesome. Pair it with a glass of Stella and you’re set. It’s nice to have beer pairing suggestions on the menu if you’re the type that can’t decide which beer to pick. On the other hand, the service was excellent, and the staff were more than willing to help out if you need directions and info.

Wasn’t too busy. It was just myself and my 16 month old daughter. With the purchase of my meal, hers was free. My daughter went up to give our waitress Petra a hug. Instantly worked for me. Only here for a couple more days but I’m sure I’ll go back in again.

Sorry Merlin’s, but OMG, your service was terrible this past ski season. It was the absolute worst I’ve ever seen it and I have been coming there a few years. I couldn’t take it anymore. I would literally rather stay home than pay you guys for a diet coke with refills, mostly because I am unlikely to get any anyway. I have never seen so many attractive women standing around doing nothing, and most of them work for you. I suppose this may appealing to men, but honestly, just wait until you can’t get a beer. Please try and hire a staff that has at least cursory interest waiting actually tables this coming season. The server with the red hair was really good, but this wasn’t her first season. The food was fine, but you completely lost me based on your waitstaff.

Love the food here but ugh… 45 minutes just to get drinks? Currently at 1hour 15 mins for food… not cool merlins, still waiting…

Go for après but not for lunch. Lunch: Service was very slow(one server on the only five tables occupied) but friendly. Awful 00s punk/emo playlist. The food was terrible. Got the bacon burger and the burger was overcooked but the bacon wasn’t close to done. Very stingy on the condiments. Fries were tasteless. If the prices were lower, wouldn’t have been so offensive. Après: very busy afternoon we were there. People were very into the band, fun vibe. We headed upstairs where the bar was less crowded. Waitstaff very friendly; dudes playing pool not as friendly.

A buddy and I ate ate and the food was great super filling and the sweet potato fries were was on the pricey side 16 a burger but they were good. Would get 5 stars if they would have had good entertainment and I didn’t have to ask twice for water. but over all I would definitely come here again

Came here with the family our last night in Whistler. After spending $ 12 per kids meal we found Merlin’s which offers kids under 12 eat free with paying adult — woohoo! I wouldn’t say that Merlin’s has the BEST food in town but it is comparable to the other pub style restaurants in Whistler. Plus they have a HUGE outdoor seating area at the base of the mountain. It happened to be the Upper Village Farmers Market so there was lots of people watching and neat vendors. My wahoo fish tacos were pretty tasty and the fries I stole from my kid’s plate were also yummy. Overall a great place to save a few bucks if eating with kids.

Great patio at the base of Blackcomb. Prices are typical for Whistler, but portions are large. Quality is mixed– the bleu cheese bacon burger was amazing, one of the best burgers I’ve had in a long time, but the fries were limp and soggy. The nachos were generously portioned. Service from our waitress was friendly, but slow and forgetful. One of our beer glasses had chapstick on it(!!) and she just said«Yeah, those are really hard to get clean.», left with it, and never brought a new one. We ended up using one of our water glasses for sharing a pitcher. Still, I’d go back for the burger, good drinks menu, and excellent patio.

Stopped for lunch. Food was surprisingly better than I expected. Terrible service, took close to 30 minutes to serve the food and the restaurant was empty. Bar menu… Burger was good and enjoyed the salad with strawberries. Terrible head banging music playing, kind of ruined the lovely setting. Nice location, plenty of outdoor tables… just need to sharpen their game a little.

Right at the base of Blackcomb, we stopped in for Après ski drinks. The service was good, but the menu looked like your typical bar menu. Nothing stood out as yummy or unique. So we didn’t order food. The cocktail menu was the same… Just meh. I had baileys and cocoa, my date had some whiskey and coffee concoction both seemed low on alcohol… With great places in Whistler wouldn’t recommend this place.

We are in Whistler for 7 days, with 5 days on the mountain snowboarding. My only complaint is that we didn’t know about this place until the 3rd day. The food was amazing! We had yam fries, regular huge steak fries, and the best tacos in town: pork belly tacos. Do yourself a huge favor and have a few of these. You will never look at tacos again — a whole new standard to judge against. Ridiculously delicious! The drinks were equally good and the service was top notch. Good eats in the middle of your day on the mountain. Skip the crazy crowded Whistler Village and head here instead. You deserve it.

After giving it a try i thought it was on the expensive side for a casual grill and the food quality is below average, the only thing the place has going is the Service and location and thats what you are paying for. The place is located right below the slopes and has a great view of the mountain and the lift area. For food we ordered some fish tacos that were very bland and the hamburger meat was greasy and rubbery, it looked like it had been pre cooked and then frozen. There were two of us and we paid $ 60 for a burger, fish tacos, and three beers. The best thing from this place was the micheladas, they were great. I would recommend this place to grab a beer and enjoy the view but for the food not so much.

We were here in the summer, and came in later in the afternoon, looking for some beer and appetizers. Unfortunately, the tortilla chips were stale, and the guacamole seemed very much like the kind that comes out of a plastic bag. It wasn’t dreadful, but it sure wasn’t high quality food. The service was indifferent, and the beer just not that great. Maybe we hit it on a bad day, but with all the options at Whistler, I wouldn’t bother going back.

We stopped by after hiking. Location was great at the base of the Blackcomb lifts. We literally stepped off the lift and straight onto the patio of the restaurant. We sat outside. There was quite a bit of seating on the patio. The music seemed overly loud… to the point that it was hard to have a conversation with the people at our table. We sat for what seemed like forever before our waitress took our order. Service was pretty shotty, but to the credit of our waitress, she was stretched a little thin. When our food finally came out, it was meh. I ordered the chicken sandwich. Average. I was starved and it was sustenance. I had half a serving of fries and half salad. The salad was fresh with a Greek style dressing. The fries were OK. For the price, I felt the quality should have been higher. Average food on the expensive side which seems like the run of the mill in Whistler. Overall, I was not impressed with the food or the service.

Had a chorizo quesadilla… AMAZING! It is on the expensive side(me and my buddy paid $ 50 for lunch for 2 quesadillas and a pitcher of beer) but then again it’s whistler so what can you expect… Crowd is pretty hyped up and environment is cool. Service was great too. And right down from the slopes.

Not a bad place if you are on the Blackcomb side of the mountain(Upper Village). You board right down to this place. It is less crowded than the main village side, it is convenient, and it is super chill. Came here for a lunchtime break and got me my first Michelada(I think that’s how you pronounce it?) Friends have been telling me about it and it wasn’t bad. Had it with the canadian beer kokonee. I got me first kokonee from a kanuck-ee! :) Had their bean dip as a snack and a vodka pineapple after a day of boarding before heading in to the hotel to get ready to roam the main village. Bartender and waitresses were nice and helpful. Love their accents! Place has great décor and character! I love it! Will be back!
