Fatburger

Fatbuger has decided to only give us one stamp per order so now you need to make multiple purchases to get multiple stamps. This is a terrible idea fat burger you should be ashamed of this, it makes your brand appear to be tricking us customers. We see through your scam.

My kid loves this place. Pricey but good quality. Not a weekly thing. Not enough seats. Gets packed quick.

Just went for the Bacon Cheese burger. One of the best I’ve had in a while. Piping hot and good flavour. Will be back! A good burger does not need all the crazy topping most places are doing now. If you can make a really good cheese burger, and most places don’t, then you can tell they know what they are doing.

I was stoked to find out Fatburger had arrived in The Peg. I’ve been to their restaurant out in Calgary and it was great there.
The atmosphere is just as fun here. You make in order, the cashier yells it out, and the cooks yell it back to confirm. Fun!
The burgers are very good — maybe not the best in the city. But certainly better than your avg fast food. The fries are great.
What you really need to get is their milk shake. Any of them. They are one of the best you’ll have had. So dang good!
The only downer though is their place is TOO SMALL! You’ll often have trouble find a place to sit, unless you come at odd hours of the day.

I had my first visit last night. There will be more, if my burger was any indicator of the overall quality if the food.
On entering, I was immediately struck with how busy it was (it was the dinner hour), which is always a good sign. The order process was pretty simple, and they have the courtesy of posting clearly what condiments come standard.
My first thought as I unwrapped my Hawaiian burger was that it looked very much like the picture. The beauty was more than skin-​deep, though. For the record, I’ve never had pineapple slices on a hamburger. This is a trend which will change. The sweetness of the pineapple worked well with the smokiness of the bacon and the patty was perfectly cooked, still nice and juicy.
The fries weren’t disappointing, but they were not exceptional. This was less of a concern.
Given the surprising complexity of the menu, which is basically nothing but burgers, it will take a few more visits to really gauge the place. The first impression, though, was very good. Can’t wait to go back!

Big picture — Decent burger
The good — Friendly staff, burger meat was decent
Needs work — Freezing inside (everybody had their parka on), music was way too loud, need to find a better bun (tasted like fake Wonderbread)
Overall — Decent place for burger take out if you’re in the area

Although the burger was smaller than I expected I really enjoyed what I had. Chalk that up to not knowing the menu. Seeing as I was still hungry I tried the bone in chicken wings. These were disappointing. Chicken felt dry and a bit over cooked for my liking. Will stick to the burgers.

Burgers delivered fast, warm, fresh and were tasty. Had Fat burger ¼ lb combo Fries and gravy were meh. Will return if in the area.

I still love the burgers here though my recent visit was just ok. The burgers were not as juicy and amazing as my first visit. Nonetheless the fries are still very good and consistent.
I ordered the «medium» ½ pound burger which is perfect for me as I found the baby burger ¼ lb not filling enough. The fries are so good so order the bag of fries which is $ 3.99, it’s not the same bag or box of fries you get at VJs as the portion is still less than what you’d expect. The bag of fries is probably equivalent to a med to large size at other fast food places. The regular fries comes in about the portion of a small drink cup so not a lot of fries. Their milk shakes are really good so if you want a small taste of it, get the kid size portion which is about $ 1.49 or something and the equivalent to about 100 ml.
Service is always friendly there. Food requires a bit of a wait as they make your food to order but it’s always hot and delicious.
