A definite stop if your in Winnipeg and you like architecture. The building is so beautiful and majestic. The grounds are also lovely so you can stroll if it’s nice out. Make sure you walk around the back of the building. It reminded me of the Alberta legislature building.

Similar to a previous reviewer, we didn’t think the building would be open on a Sunday. It was and we really enjoyed giving ourselves a tour. The building is beautiful and the inside architecture is amazing. The grounds are also beautiful with the gardens and statues. A great place to visit and enjoy if you are visiting here.

We didn’t expect this to be open on Sunday and was pleasantly surprised. No public tour of course but the guard let us in for self-​guided tour. We walked the halls and took photos of the grand entrance with marble steps with large bulls on both sides. Go up a flight of stairs and get the aerial view of the large columns. Also, there is a bridge in the middle which give you a great view of the dome. See my pics and you will see why we were amazed. Free too so can’t complain there. Easy to park on a Sunday since nobody is working in the office. Can’t say about the traffic during the weekday.

Having been told this is one of the more beautiful legislative buildings in North America, it was time to check it out.
Parking is available around the perimeter (inside the building grounds) for visitors.
The security guard let me walk around. Most legislative or state buildings give tours, but for this one they’re only available during the summer months. Boooo.
The claim to fame for this one is the Golden Boy at the top of the dome. This was the tallest building in Manitoba until they current skyline was built, according to the brochure the security guy gave me.
The inside is surprisingly small. In the back of the 3 °F there’s a gallery of every Speaker in the history of the province.
The other cool thing is the staircase in the main foyer, with the 2 giant buffalo surrounding the exterior. Looks like it’s a popular spot for taking wedding photos, as there were several couples here.
