Had a real good night August 23^rd, 2015 good food great drinks had a really good third anniversary there with my wife we went to the pony corral on nairn

We had won dinner at the pony corral. I have been by the place many times but never tried it. I should have come so much sooner. Today’s special is all you can eat ribs, Scored big time! The ribs were delicious not to much sauce, a little piquant. I have been to other places that offer all you can eat ribs. They usually make you wait between orders, not here. Definitely highly recommend it. My wife had souvlaki pita loved it as well. The service was excellent I got to love the décor as well. I have a new favorite restaurant in Winnipeg!

Good food, ample portions. The butternut squash soup was perfect for a –20 C Winnipeg December day. The gyro was good, and later I had the reuben. It wasn’t a classic reuben with pastrami, but the smoked ham was also very good.

Stopped by late on a Saturday night. Had a Calamari dinner for $ 14! It was very filling and yummy. My DH had the Greek Cowboy and it was plenty of food and ribs and chicken were seasoned nicely. There was live music and we say by the window with a view of the river. We would definitely go back again.

Maybe because it was a hot day. Maybe because the people on the patio next to us were smoking weed. Maybe because there were too many mosquitos.
But those are just excuses.
This place wasn’t my kind of scene. 2 stars for effort, because the service was pretty good. The girls really tried hard and were friendly.
But the food sucked. The atmosphere sucked. I am not going back again.

I would have never came to this location (or really even this restuarant) if my best friend was not the director of marketing. She invited me to the launch of their girls night/​martini night on Thursday. Thinking of the Pony Corral crowd I thought that I should bring my mother with me — she’d enjoy it.
I have to say that my perception was off! Parking downtown wasn’t the best, but once we got inside it was actually really modern, packed with business people of all ages and looked pretty fun!
They have a house band that plays every Thursday (more my mom’s music, but they were still good) and they know have martini’s on special. The stage is right behind the bar which was cool and a great venue for any other acts that might be looking for a place to play.
We ordered the Greek ribs as an appetizer and they were SO good! I would actually consider coming back with some of my friends when we are looking for a place to go!
Only thing I would change would be the service, it was quite slow.

Me and my friends always hit up Pony Corral, Mondays and Tuesdays on their wing nights. They have both dry and sauced wings. If you like your wings saucy I recommend sweet chili and the electric honey.
Pony Corral is the only place I’ve been to that make banana daiquiris, super delicious and refreshing on a hot day.
What I don’t agree with and why my review lost stars is to get the wing deal you have to buy a drink, okay yeah the boss is a money grubber I get it, but the waitresses won’t even give you a glass of water if you order a drink, I personally don’t like to drink a lot of soda. That policy is ridiculous.

Went here after doing walking around the whole day.
Prices were high as expected, but service getting me to my table and throughout the meal was excellent.
Decided to get the Definitive Chilli Dog (sounds like Definito Chili Dog of the items in The World Ends With You) it was basically a foot long hot dog with loads of chilli (the Texan kind not the spicy kind) and fries.
Awesome, awesome dish. I was supposed to share it, but I ate the whole thing, though I left some fries for my dining buddy before she arrived. You have to eat with a knife and fork as it was big and messy.
The chilli was meaty and the only thing I didn’t like was the pickle.
I did eat a bit of their Pony Burger which is not really as good. It’s just blah for me as it was just a burger that was grilled.
However, the dessert was awesome, It’s a Ferrero Rocher White Carmel Mousse. It had walnuts and it was not too too sweet. SOO YUMMY.
