Great place, very good service and amazing food! We had ceviche and marinated fish and that was delicious. Portions were decent.

We heard numerous raves about Tambo from some of the locals and became one of our favorite places to eat in Santiago. Yes our favorite eats in Chile has been Peruvian food. Check out the menu(there are pictures on some of the items): What we had and loved: –Pisco Punch: the first time we ordered this it came in a very large goblet with sliced limes. The second time we ordered it came in a very full wine glass with a slice of pineapple. It tasted the same both times which was great. Piscos tend to be too sweet and sour at the same time for me so this had the right amount of balance. –Ceviche(cilantro flavored, mixed seafood): very good portioned and so fresh tasting! Wish we had more time to try more different ceviches –Salmon macho: it’s a mix of a bunch of seafood piled on a large hunk of salmon w/a really good creamy red sauce over it. It’s not spicy despite what the menu suggests. –Parihuela soup: seafood soup w/a really good citrus flavored tang. Pretty large portioned as well –Chaufa de mariscos: can’t go wrong with Peruvian fried rice, this one is also very generous with the seafood. Thinking about this is making me wish for a closer and great Peruvian near us back home!

Goood service and big portions. Slightly way too salty and greasy. Well located right infront of ice cream shop.

I had the Tambo Beef and Traditional Ceviche. Both were huge portions for one person. Ceviche was very good. Tambo was a bit salty but still enjoyable. Great ambiance and fast, friendly service!

Ok so I’m giving this 5 stars, but don’t get all excited just yet… This is a great«everyday» restaurant. Food is good, service is great. Just don’t make a destination out of it. The restaurant lacks character and if you drove specifically to come to this place you’ll regret it. If you want something special and more pricey Boca Nariz is right in front.

Fastest service I had in Chile. The ceviche was my favorite! Overall the mixed cold plate appetizer was good. The pisco sours were amazing :)

Food was a bit cold and not as flavorful as expected or as described. Bland food, fatty chicken, service under par as I received the wrong dish and did not get a beer ordered until I reminded the waitress(who seemed put out when I reminded her). Overall the experience was not worth the price. Much better restaurants in this area worth your money and time.

I have come here a couple of different times and every time I have a better experience than the time before. The last time I came here was for a graduation party and the staff went above and beyond to give us the best experience. Our menu was fixed because the group was paying for it, but they knew what they were doing as all of the items they had selected were absolutely delicious — by far one of the best Peruvian restaurant experiences I have had! I do have to back track and say that when I came here for dinner a few months earlier, I was not too happy with my order and my boyfriend wasn’t either however it must have been either the cook or the dishes we picked because this time the appetizers were great and the main dishes even better. We had tequeños, the Tambo frio which is a mix of ceviches as well as the pulpo al olivo(one of my fav dishes of octopus bathed in a creamy olive oil sauce) as well as the Brochetambo — out of the 3 my favorite was definitely the Tambo frio. For the main dish I had the picante de camarones(the same one I had ordered a few months before but it was definitely better this time around — maybe it was the pair of pisco sours I had before the meal that made it that much better?) Overall a great experience, with even better service and delicious food!
