Sandwiched between two fruit & veg markets and right across from a bar, this little bakery/pizza place/café was a welcome sight on my walk to church this morning. I was looking for breakfast and a cup of coffee, and this looked promising so I went in and ordered their morning deal which gets you a cup of plain coffee(well, I just drink it black) and a roll with cheese & butter. I got the bun with oats on it, and it was quite good. The coffee wasn’t anything special, but the rest of the menu did look nice. Can’t wait to come back sometime after church for lunch with the homies!

So this small little gem in blågårdsgade is a bakery which shares tables with the bar called Escobar. Which means you can have pizza from the bakery and beer from the bar. What a great combo. I had the pizza number 3 and it was really amazing! Thin dough and nicely balanced toppings. Will definitely go back. It is slightly hard to spot as it is above ground level and you need to go few steps up. So look up when you re in blågårdsgade. There is plenty of space to eat indoors if the weather does not allow you to sit outside. The pizza was 75dkk, normally priced. My friend had a special bread instead of pizza, that was made out of different type of seeds. Also very tasty, healthy and filling.
