Note to US shoppers — they don’t carry these bags in Bloomingdales or other department stores anymore.
While shopping in Paris, Herve Chapelier should be on everyone’s list. They have a very large variety of sizes and colors to choose from; the prices are more reasonable that shopping online from the US; and there is the added benefit of the tax refund.
These bags make great souvenirs that every lady in your life will appreciate.

Herve Chapelier is ALWAYS on my list to buy when I come to Paris. I adore the large canvas bags for travel. My daughter and I fight over them all of the time. Great for a slumber party or a weekend away. They are durable and although they say you aren’t supposed to wash them, I always do and have had great luck. This trip, I purchased a pink one and I can tell that the color may be a little light. It’s going to get dirty fast. Still, so cute! Buy multiples!!!

After a disappointing experience at Longchamps, I was very happy to discover this colorful shop just a few doors down the street.
Inside, I found every size and shape of bag imaginable, made in unique colors and beautifully displayed by style.
The salespeople were friendly and helpful.

Herve Chapelier tote bags are stylish, affordable, and colorful — 3 of my favorite things. I purchased 2 sizes of tote bags here roughly 5 years ago, and they are both still going strong! Walking into the store, I was taken aback by just how many different color combos and styles Herve offers.
Herve’s bags are perfect for an alternative school bag (the full size one even fits a laptop comtortably!), an overnight bag, or an airplane carry-​on, or even a purse for everyday use!
The colors combos change every season, so be sure to snag the colors you love right away, because they won’t be around for long! Also, for those of us in the U.S., they ship internationally, so check it out!
