Elements

This is a high-​end mall. All the high end brand in one place. There is LV, Dior and other big brands. As well, this mall is spacious, big and clean. Lots of walking space. Air quality is clean here.

It’s a shopping mall of designer shops as well as beauty stores. It’s convenient to Kowloon train station (trains go to the airport) but a longer walk to Austin station.
I didn’t buy anything, just walked through to find sky100, the entrance to the observation deck is here.
It did have a really cute Easter display so I photoed it!
I wouldn’t come all the way to this mall unless I needed to, as it is far, got to get various trains here but it is nice if you have money to spend!

High end shopping center with several dining options. Reminds me of South Coast Plaza here in Costa Mesa, CA, USA. We ate here twice for dinner. Located at the ICC.

It’s a Disneyland for adults made of luxury goods and fine things, that is if you have the money! Or you can be like me, windowing shopping, enjoy the amenities without paying for it.
On a more serious note, this place reminds me of the malls in the States, but it’s even better because it has a great collection of European brands as well. The restaurants here are all delicious, it’s a great place to meet up with friends, knock off a few hours of the day, or just shop! Don’t forget to go up to the ground level, it has a wonderful view of the HK main island.

Huge mall, relatively new — it wasn’t here about 10+ years ago, so it must have been recently constructed to accommodate all the «purchasing power» of the locals and Chinese tourists. :) It’s clean, air conditioned, and easy to navigate — with multiple floors, and full of restaurants/​eateries inside as well.
We were able to meet up with a friend for dinner inside this mall, and it’s actually attached to the Kowloon MTR Station too, which is so convenient and central! :)

This is a real upscale mall, it was literally connected to the hotel I was staying at. It also has a subway terminal conveniently located within. Almost all the major fashion houses are here, as well as a lot of not as well known high fashion brands. They even had a Paul & Shark boutique. Those are really hard to come by in the U.S. The mall itself is very clean, the food options were just okay. There were actually a lot of different international cuisines available. My daughter really enjoyed the ice skating rink on the lowest level of the mall.

Hong Kong — Elements. What a cool place full of useful and interesting shopping, entertainment, and wonder. Hahaha.
Ok, so not so much «wonder» but still… The place has it all. Any mall that has every single top of the line fashion designer retail store (Louis V, Chanel, Ferragamo, etc), a state of the art movie theater, restaurants-​galore, a full grocery store (360), and an ice skating rink… Is alright in my book! Something that noticed about Hong Kong. if you’ve taken 20 steps and you haven’t run into an escalator. you aren’t in HK. Haha. This mall is multi-​leveled and has enough things to do to keep you busy for days. Oh yeah, and the mall has free Wi-​Fi for 30mins. Furthermore, if you get a little tired of being indoors then you can head upstairs to the Civic Square where they have a couple outdoor bars/​restaurants to check out. Overall, I’m a huge fan! Check it out!

This mall is just so damn convenient when you want to kill some time before taking the Airport Express. Why can’t we get an Airport Express in Phoenix? Oh, right, because we are not that important.
Can I add that this mall has the best public bathroom … and it’s free! There’s also a ton of restaurants. Find one serving soup dumplings and die with delight.
What I really love, though, are the inventive displays within this mall. They once made an entire living room set out of yarn, including a fireplace with faux fire. Uh oh, I think I just let my hipster side sneak out a bit. Omg, yarn!

One of my favorites malls in Hong Kong. Very spacious to walk around and seldom over crowded. Washrooms are always clean and constantly cleaned on a regular basis.

This upscale mall has just about every name brand you could ever want. I love that it is conveniently located right above Kowloon station, and this is also where you can hop onto the Airport Express. There is also a really awesome, open Starbucks that’s comfortable to work at with plenty of seating. This also connects to Sky100 which is an observatory deck in the ICC. Other things that this connects to is the Ritz-​Carlton, ICC, and W Hotel.
Overall, this mall is a nice one to walk around but I mostly just window shop here since it’s mainly just name brand things, haha.

Losing one star because I always, without fail, get lost here (Earth, Wind, Fire, What?!!). 4 stars because daaaaamn are those toilets decked out! For mommies, they’ve got a great changing station for babies too.
For shopping, a lot of luxury brands so I don’t bother. Apparently METAL is where you have the really expensive stuff, but I never manage to find that element on my clueless navigating — and probably for the best.
Actually, that’s a lie. I managed to find METAL once, when I was on the search for Mango Tree restaurant (read: overpriced Thai, great for fancy shmancy dates).
Other points — the Grand Cinema there has an insane sound system. Also, Civic Square is an a great place to chill with friends after work.

Elements reminds me of Harbour City, in that the number of luxury brands and the chances of getting lost in the mall are equally high — though of the two, I prefer Elements as it is a lot less crowded. The layout of the mall annoys me though — Elements is separated into five zones, which are named after each of the five elements. It sounds cool, and it’s a creative idea, but it doesn’t aid your sense of direction at all.
One of my aunts lived at one of the apartments above Elements so we would sometimes meet up with her at this mall. It’s not very conveniently located — the best way is no doubt the MTR, but as it’s located along the Tung Chung line it’s almost guaranteed that you have to make an interchange or two. The mall is pretty big and feels really grand. Even the washrooms are pleasant!
I always spend some times at Metrobooks whenever I come to Elements. It’s right next to the cinema and I like that there are benches around the bookshop for you to sit down and read. Besides just books, there are stationery and accessories sections as well. I’m not exactly a movie buff, but the cinema here — appropriately named ‘The Grand’ — is supposedly one of the best cinemas in town, in that it has the best sound system. I like coming to the hmv here too and looking at the deals for books. As for clothes shopping, H&M and Zara are great as it’s usually not too busy here.
There is a decent selection of restaurants at Elements. If you don’t have much time to spare, you can go for Pret or Triple O’s. There’s a Lei Garden here if it’s Chinese food you’re after, and there are quite a few western restaurants up on Civic Square. The supermarket here, Three Sixty, is quite international (read: pricey).

I don’t normally go to Elements only because this is not my cup of tea. Most of the shops are luxury fashion brands you can read in magazine like Vogue or Elle, which I have ever thought I can afford to buy. I’ve only been to here like two times due to my work, every time is just like walking straight to the destination and straight to mtr afterwards. It wasn’t a great place in my memory, but walking around here again yesterday did change my mind.
First, never realize how big this shopping mall is and instead it is HUGE, they only have two levels and so you keep walking until next section, either fire, wood, water, earth or metal. Yes, the names did make a lot of confusions, they are stylish but useless to tell direction. I can see tons of people standing in front of the shopping guide map and have no clue where they should go next, just like me…
But saying to that, the good thing of this shopping mall is, put shops in same category into everywhere, it is easy to shop and eat, like you can find restaurants in all sections and don’t have to worry many people lining around or the area is full of people with noise and food smells in lunch time. The shopping mall is smart to set up some benches beside washrooms and corners, so the walking path is always full of space. It is nice to walk around in a quiet and big shopping mall, just a bit unfortunate I can only do window shopping.

Elements is one of Hong Kong’s newest malls– its probably one of the biggest as well. I say this because I always get lost when I go in; the fact that they name different sections with the «elements» really doesn’t help in deciding which way is which.
You are left in no doubt how nice this place is: the décor, the general ambience and more importantly, the shops inside which lets you know that you better be on a six figure salary to shop here. Coming here for the first time it really was an experience, I remember going to the cinema and being wow-​ed by the fact that it was so vast, so well lit and everything just seemed so posh.
After the second or third time, it became apparent: this place really isn’t for me. First of all, the shops really are top of the line and to be honest, who would buy this sort of stuff in Hong Kong. secondly, its just a bit too blingy for me– don’t get me wrong now, I like being in a nice places but this place just feels a bit too much at times. Also adding to the list is that there is actually not a lot to choose from in terms of restaurants (being such a big place); so coming here you are always limited to Civic Square and a number of other restaurants dotted around the place.
The Pros? Well the parking is literally free as long as you spend something here and the cinema and ice rink are still a cut above the other malls. For me though, that’s about it.
