I was quite excited when this opened up in Central as I’m a big fan of Japanese curry. Sadly, the experience was rather disappointing.
The standard dinner set comes with onion soup and a drink. When the soup came, it was cold. We sent it back, 5 minutes later it comes back lukewarm (still cool enough that I can comfortably stick my finger in the soup) — at which point I gave up.
The curry itself was fine, not bad and not great, but portions were on the small side.
I guess I expected a bit more for the price.

Located in The Loop next to Tsui Wah, this place is a best kept secret in Central. The menu features affordable, hearty, savory Japanese cooked food to cure your LKF hangover. Dishes we tried:
1) Caesar Salad (5⁄5) — one does not simply pass up a salad with fried BACON squares in it! Romaine leaves were crunchy, and their homemade Caesar dressing somehow had a Japanese flavor to it. Not overdressed, which I always appreciate. Not your typical Caesar salad.
2) Keema curry with fried egg (4⁄5) — the keema had a good spicy kick to it due to the peppers in the mix. Nice flavor but nothing special.
3) Pork Katsu curry with omelette (5⁄5) — enjoyed the fat-​to-​lean ratio of the pork; it was also breaded evenly and fried perfectly. Omelette was moist and rice was fluffy. Kind of fatty but SORRY NOT SORRY
