Yeah. Not. impressed. I’ve walked by this place for a year wondering about it. And after all that anticipation, THATSIT!!! So choices are limited here. 1. Have the«hot pot» 2. 3 – 4 other main dishes like Bibimbap 3. 2 choices for soup 4. Appetizers such as pot stickers. We weren’t feeling the hot pot so we opted for Bibimbap and Tofu soup. Bibimbap was served in a hot stone pot — so I liked that. But it just didn’t make my taste buds jump for joy like the usually do when I have Korean food. And the Seafood Tofu soup I ordered had a funny«cheezy» taste to it. I’ve never had cheese in tofu soup. The after taste was horrible but I guess bearable to me that day since I was hungryyy. But I had to add some bibimbap to my soup to drown out the cheezi-ness. Seriously, if you want some Korean food, just skip this joint.

Was excited to see that there are new Korean options opening on the island side, particularly in Central. Apparently I was being too hopeful. Being a cool night, my friend and I decided to try out this place for their army stew aka budaejjigae. I was very underwhelmed. First of all the waitress had no clue about anything whatsoever. Asking her questions, she had no idea and she came to our table 2x to confirm our order. When you have about 5 items on your menu, do you really not remember? Regardless of the insincere and dismal service– other reasons why I will never return: 1.Budaejjigae is supposed to be spicy with ramen noodles, spice and hearty. This version was a water down HK version of a hot pot completed with mini hot dogs that HK people love along with mushrooms, udon and cabbage. Never in my life have I had these items inside . 2. The seating was extra tight. I was unable to concentrate on my own conversation at the table because the party next to us were super loud. Not their fault– just feel that the could have made the layout better. 3. When we asked for more spice, they gave us gochujang(spicy sweet chili paste) which is intended for bibimbap, NOT . Unauthentic food, terrible service, waste of my time and calories. The ONLY redeeming quality would be perhaps the kimbap rice rolls. Skip it.
