This is a Japanese tea room. They serve tea and desserts but also soba noodles. Matcha warabimochi: I chose this as it looks like a fresh dessert for summer. It has a soft jelly consistency and comes with matcha powder and brown syrup. If you add both of them, it makes the jelly taste sweet and slightly bitter. Matcha soba: I like food with rich colors. Green soba look more interesting and appetizing than the traditional one. The dipping sauce isn’t very salty, a little sweet. There is a side of pickled sweet radishes and wasabi, as well as plain grated radish and mini mushrooms. I added these to the dipping sauce as it gives them more flavor. The presentation of their dishes are fine, simple and delicate.

Truly authentic matcha desserts. My best pick is the green tea warabi mochi. Love the texture. Melts in your mouth. The only savoury item on the menu, green tea soba, served in soup or cold, is very refreshing among all those sweet treats. Like this place :)

When people are willing to wait an hour in line for dessert, you know it must be good. Indeed it was! I didn’t wait that hour the first time, but I came back on a Tuesday afternoon, and there wasn’t a line. The shop was full, but there was no wait — perfect timing. We ordered a Maccha Milk($ 42) and Hong Kong Special Parfait($ 98). They were delicious, and the maccha was so rich! From what I remember, the parfait consists of maccha frozen yogurt, jelly, red bean, and some fruit at the bottom. Actually, we made the mistake of ordering only one to share, and we thus decided we’d go back another time. It is quite expensive for dessert, so keep that in mind if you’re on a budget! Lastly, servers were courteous(there’s also an added service charge), and the atmosphere is very pleasant.
