Hong Kong is a city that is filled with good food and options of all that goodness is often overwhelming. That said, dim sum is usually not on the top of my list as local food items I must have during my visits. However, during my most recent visit I have learned more about the chefs and the brief history of Lei Garden. After my morning hike this past Tuesday, I went to have dim sum with my mother at this Wan Chai location of Lei Garden. Every order was well prepared. The BBQ pork and crackling pork combo was terrific. The shiu mai was fragrant with dried shitake mushroom. The steamed shrimp rice rolls were fresh and had great consistency. The chicken feet was not artificial and smothered with the typical red sauce. The salty yolk bun was soft and delicate. Lei Garden’s dim sum dishes were well made to say the least. From texture to flavor, everything was perfect. I can’t wait to go back for more!
