Hong Kong can be an aggressively «in your face obvious ignore», but being a native New Yorker with my own attitude energy, this means nothing to me. Especially when I am really hungary!
My first visit to Hong Kong, and after checking out a few of my pretrip researched list of restaurants, I tossed the tourist trap overpriced glitzy list into trash, grabbed my hubby and followed the locals and my nose for «real» Hong Kong food.
The food here is fresh, the hot pot list of selections is excellent! The presentation and servings were generous, and the broth was so well made. Steaming and delicious. That said, the food and presentation was 5 star.
The 3 stars is for the «I no speak english» and outright attitude of reception staff. Either you are in business in Hong Kong to service everyone, or open business in your house, where you can pick and choose who enters. I am a seasoned dealer with this type of Wait Staff, which after not being asked what type of meal we were there for, initially being led to the wrong section and ignored for 20 minutes in a moderately filled off hour time. I got the situation in hand. (I didn’t care it there were only locals present, I was hungary, and this place smelled like my Father’s cooking!) Five minutes later, beautiful service with no smile was provided…
The meal was delicious, my husband thoroughly enjoyed his first hot pot meal. FYI, the service charge is included in the check. And next trip, we WILL be back!!!

Went there this afternoon, around 1200. This is probably one of the worse place that I have ever walk into.
I have had my fair share of good food and bad food. What gets me is that the really bad customer service. I mean bad food if accompanied with good customer services, I’ll be happy to pay the bill, but bad food + bad service, that’s a deal breaker.
As soon as I walk in, they gave me a table which is good. But! Within 5 minutes, they sat two people right across the same table. Without any consent. When I ask to seat alone, they ignored me completely. I sat there without knowing how to order for 15min, no one explained how to place order. I did try to get someone, but the waiters made eye contact but still ignoring us.
By the time I pay, they ask me to wait, for the whole 5 minutes waiting, they were having a conversation about their friend cheating on her husband. I mean … Really!!!

I have even given tips to some really bad restaurant but their customer service is great. But this restaurant just not worth it at all.
