Decent ramen joint near the Lan Kwai Fong area in Central Food: 3.5 out of 5 Ambiance: 3 out of 5 Service: 3 out of 5 Value: 3.5 out of 5 I really struggled with the overall star rating of this place. The broth is intense and flavourful. And you can choose the noodle type and softness so there’s no reason why this place should be a 3. Except there’s nothing exceptional at all about this place. Is broth alone enough to get a 4? At the end of the day it’s about the overall experience and it’s fairly average. If you’re looking for a pretty decent ramen place near LKF, you can either choose Butao or this place. You can’t really go wrong with either place.

So good! I was staying at The Pottiger(a great boutique hotel) across the street and stumbled across this small ramen joint. I got the Kuroko Max Ramen(Tonkotsu soup with special garlic oil). There were choices of different width noodles. I chose the medium. I also chose the noodles to be cooked medium. The broth was nearly perfect. It was not so heavy that it overpowered the noodles. The egg was also perfectly cooked. Free wifi was available. Would come back again!

I first discovered this hidden ramen joint after a drunkern night at the 3/F Pottinger Hotel terrace bar. We were in desperate need of food before heading homeward. I was in heels and not prepared to walk far. Our eyes lit up as we saw a new ramen joint. We ventured in and had the most delicious bowl of ramen I have had in a long time. I have been back several times and all are equally tasty so I know it wasn’t the booze controlling my taste buds. I’m slowly working my way through the menu, but each soup is delicious. The pork is succulent and the noodles — well the noodles are cooked to perfection. I like them«middle» al-dente. You can also choose from«thin» or «thick». I go thick(like you should). As a bonus, have a bit of cheese. They melt and someone burn the cheese once on the noodles that give it an extra delicious smoky taste. Eat ramen now. Yum. Burp.

So yummy! This restaurant has served the best Ramen, so far, that I’ve tasted in Hong Kong. Al dente ramen noodles, with the just the right amount of spicy-ness in the broth. Or you can order the one without spiciness. The noodles can also be ordered«hard», «medium», or «soft». I’d definitely choose this place over any of the Ramen places in Central. The cost of the Ramen is between 80HKD — 110HKD. They have other side dishes, like, French Fries $ 35HKD and other things… Size wise: there is a «FULL size» and a «Regular Size». The«Full Size» is supposed to be much bigger, but it didn’t really look like much of a difference. The place is small, so not too much seating space. Mostly bar style seating. I definitely would come back here to satisfy my Ramen cravings.
