Novalash

Good looking lashes shame about the eye scraping and conjunctivitis.
I’d read a few horror stories about people having reactions at some lash salons in HK, so decided to go with Novalash as an internationally respected gold standard in lash extensions. I figures the high price of almost $ 2000 would guarantee a smooth ride… Oh how wrong I was!
The salon us BEAUTIFUL. The staff are polite and professional and the lounge is very comfy. I didn’t take the hint when I asked about signing the disclaimer that says that they won’t give you a refund if you have a bad reaction and was politely fobbed off.
Anyway, I’ve been having lash extensions for about 5 years in all different countries in all kinds of salons and visiting technicians etc, and it has never been a painful experience. During the ‘separation’ phase my technician took about half an hour pulling at my lashes and scraping my inner lash line a few times with the tool — quite a painful experience! Then when finishing up, she put some unknown eyedrops in my eyes and sent me on my way after selling me some additional novalash products and booking me in for my follow up appointment.
The lashes looked good — no better than any of the many lash jobs I’d had done before.
Went in merry way at 8:00pm, only to wake up the following morning with the familiar crustation and eye ache of conjunctivitis… Queue an emergency doctors appointment and anti biotic eye drops and ointment!
Called to let them know the following day to cancel my follow up appointment and because conjunctivitis is extremely contagious and whatever bacteria infected my eyes might well be lingering on the tools that I was scraped with… And they simply said they’d take ‘note’
3 days post lash extensions, conjunctivitis is clearing up and the lash shedding is pretty average.
Moral of the story: most expensive doesn’t always mean best!
