Place rating: 3 Hong Kong
Cute décor and a central Mong Kok location make the place appealing. There’s room for many large groups upon their faux-Rococo couch and chair furnishings, under glittering gaudy chandeliers. Service was slow and it seemed there were only two servers in the entire place, which meant some of our food came before our uncomplicated drinks(a can of Blue Girl, and a can of coke.) Also, the Oreo shake tasted watered down. The menu is pretty large and contains pizza options(with some pretty interesting topping combinations), pasta, salads, cutlet & omelette rice combos, and snacks, as well as many drink and dessert options. Everything but snacks come as a dinner set, which means it includes a small soup and a drink or an inexpensive upgrade to a more pricy drink and dessert. The night I was there, all but three of the desserts were out, which is a shame. But the food was fine. I went with three friends so collectively we tried the: –miso veggies –chicken cutlet bolognese over rice in stone bowl –spare rib rack with chips –pasta bolognese with poached egg Everything was fine. Not great, not bad, just filling and fine. Fair prices too(around $ 60, $ 90, $ 115, and $ 85, respectively, for the items listed above — though these prices aren’t exact.) It’s most definitely not fine dining but it is a cute place to come with a group of friends for some hanging out.
