Sawadika is a nice little restaurant that serves Thai/Singapore/Malaysian influenced food located right by the Wan Chai MTR. The Laksa here is the most popular dish. Laksa is basically rice noodles in curry soup. What’s interesting at Sawadika is that they also offer«cart noodle». Think à la carte! Its a popular kind of noodle offered mostly in Hong Kong, where you can choose the soup base, the type of noodle, and pick your toppings. But unlike most Chinese cart noodles, here they also offer the curry soup base used for Laksa. I haven’t seen à la carte Laksa anywhere else before, and they do it quite well here. This place is a nice decently-priced option if you want some warm food or something quick before you hit the bars nearby. The only downside is that they close pretty early. Although they close at 9pm, their kitchen stops taking orders around 8:30pm.
