Soi 18 Thai Cuisine specializes in Isaan Thai Food and I was excited to see what they offers! I have been to Ubon Ratchathani, one of the cities in Southern Isaan and hopefully Soi 18 Thai serves some of their delicacy.
A note: North Eastern Thai Food is one of the spiciest food in Thailand. I do understand that the restaurant really have to tune down the level of spiciness to fit locals but to what level?
Sadly, nothing I tasted that night gave me that I am in Thailand moment. Flavours was lacking: spiciness and the use of fresh herbs? Where is that signature Thai taste of salty, sweet, sour, spicy all in one dish?
We ordered a few dish to share. Most are quite tasty and the dinner experience was enjoyable.
I ended up not trying to think about how authentic those Thai dish I was eating and just enjoy the evening.
Reservation is a must during dinner time.

By entering the shopping mall, looking at the list of restaurants, I chose this one. To be honest, I haven’t tried many Thai food before because I thought Thai food tastes weird. However, this restaurant has changed my mind!!! It is soooooo good. I love the chicken here and this is one of the best chicken I ever had!!!
