Needed a quick refuel so popped in here for a bowl of noodles. I got the Won Ton noodles, the serving here is massive and good value at € 8.50. In fact, there was so much I couldn’t quite finish it which is very unusual for me. The staff were very friendly and service was quick.

You know this place that you have that is not the best thing of the world but you always end up going to? Charming Noodles is that place for me. My go-to restaurant when I don’t know where to go. Very big dishes(ramens, starters, noodles… everything), very cheap, very honest. Nothing fancy in the food or the place, just honest Chinese cuisine. Always delivers.

Love this place, only discovered it recently as our other Chinese sadly closed down. This is certainly an acceptable replacement and is two doors down from the previous. Menus have a nice selection but yeah, you do get a different one if you speak Mandarin or are with somebody who does. Huge choice and selection, and they also do desserts, which we’ve yet to try. Food tastes very fresh and well prepared, both the veg and meat. Sauces are great also, not too thick and just the right amount of flavour. Prices are pretty standard for this kind of place I guess, nothing to write home about, but at the end of the day you do get what you pay for. It’s a reasonably small place but laid out very well and the smell of fresh cooking from the kitchen downstairs gets your mouth watering while you wait for your food. Staff are lovely too. Attentive, friendly and try their best to help with anything extra you may need.

After spending a Sunday morning in bed watching a BBC show on «Exploring China: A Culinary Adventure», I wanted to satisfy my need of authentic noodles and pan fried dumplings for lunch. A quick search on Unilocal directed me to Charming Noodles! I found the restaurant in the slightly dodgy end of Parnell Street… first impressions are good; efficient friendly service in a nice setting. I quickly noted that I was given a different menu in Chinese and chopsticks while Dublin born and bred Mikey was given a fork and a «tourist set menu». We ditched the latter quickly enough, with the likes of sweetcorn soup and curry rice… I managed to wing it with my sub-par grasp of Mandarin Chinese and ordered us some delicious pork noodles and pan fried dumplings. Totally worth my whole struggle with the waiter, with what should be my mother tongue… Two massive bowls of noodles, one platter of dumplings and two Cokes came to € 16.50 — yes you read that right! For non-Chinese speakers, go there and order: Zha Jiang Mien — Wheat noodles topped with pan fried pork belly, garlic, spring onions and sliced cucumber. Jiao Zi — Pan fried dumplings with meat and vegetable fillings. Don’t blame me if something else was served to you though! ;-)

Very good value and ‘charming’ service. 8 euro lunch menu includes smallish spring rolls and a huge bowl of noodle soup and vegetables. I couldn’t finish it. It was fresh and nice but at the same time it wasn’t the most amazing thing I’ve ever eaten but you get more than what you pay for. Orlando

this noodle bar is a lovely little place and not overly expensive. i really love the pan fried noodles and the dumplings and the portion sizes are really adequate. it is a nice authentic place with real chinese food not the usual stuff they pawn off on the non-chinese people although they do have the 3 course special if you like that. the staff do recognise me now and always hand me the real menu and chopsticks which is nice!

I have eaten here many times and it never fails to disappoint. The food is always excellent, the portion size is well above adequate for any grown man! The early bird menus are cheap and they dont skimp on the portion size here either, for € 7.99 — € 9.99 I have often struggled to finsh the starter and main and you can also add a soft drink to this for € 1, always a winner in my estimation. The food is also authentic and just as good as the over priced Wagamamas or Yamamouri I know they are not Chinese but Charming Noodles its on a par with them in my opinion. Cheap beer too, defo worth a visit.
