Came here for lunch on a Sunday. Was placed at the outdoor terrace which looks so beautiful. Very nice interior design and concept throughout the whole place. Really amazed when I first stepped in. I was really disappointed in the service whereby we were waiting for almost an hour for our food to arrive. Not even a slice of bread was given during our wait. The restaurant was not even busy or full during the time that we went. I had the small plate of truffle pappardelle for € 12.50. The portion was really tiny, so I highly do not recommend a big man to come here hungry. The entire dish was alright, it just really lacks that truffle taste which is suppose to be the star of the dish. Could use a little more seasoning in my opinion. My friend had the Norwegian poached eggs which itself was a way more hearty meal as it came with a side of roasted potatoes and broccoli. Though I’m very disappointed that the poached eggs turned out to be over cooked. Ugh. Hate chefs who can’t do a proper job. But the hollandaise sauce was perfect. My other friend had the stonebass which wasn’t too bad. It was just average. Nothing too fancy about it. And another had the venison pasta, which once again, the size was very small. But it tasted pretty good. Good proportion and balance of venison to pasta itself. Overall, I felt the restaurant is nice — the ambience and the food is probably slightly above average. But the service of us waiting an hour for our food and the price is a no no. Doubt I’ll be back here again.

These 5 stars are a long time coming… and definitely well earned. I had my wedding here back in October, dinner for 80 in the restaurant and party in the venue upstairs. Initially I was really nervous that they didn’t have the kitchen to cater for that kind of size party at once, and that the meal would feel staggered and service stretched. I was left amazed by how smooth the day ran, and how accommodating and friendly the staff were throughout what is no doubt a stressful service of 80 people at once! Food wise we had serving platters selection of breads, salumi’s olive etc. All delish and a particularly nice touch that they replaced with fresh plates at tables that were hungrier than others. The mains was fish or lamb — almost every second guest I spoke to talked about how good their food was which is amazing to hear! From a venue point of view upstairs was exactly what we were looking for. Something without much personality but lots of potential and flexibility to do what we wanted. It has an industrial unfinished feel to it which is definitely unique and the team there are amazing and flexible to let us decorate as we wanted. Special thanks to Treasa the restaurant manager for helping run the day! I have also been back many times for many wines — always a great time here — fond memories might be helping that too of course :)

This has become one of my favorite cocktail bars. Conveniently located in city center, a beautiful graffiti exterior and a lovely little bar inside. I’ve tasted most of their cocktails, and I am not disappointed every time. The staff are lovely, and the ambiance is pretty good. They have a lovely outside area, which is usually packed. However, you should try to get a seat there if you can. It’s well heated, and dimly lit and has lovely decorations. They also seem to have an italian restaurant upstairs which I have yet to try.

As a social smoker living in a country that rains 90 percent of the time it’s a real challenge to find a comfortable and pleasant place to seat and enjoy a drink and smoke. The drury building for me is the bar that does this the best. The little smoking garden in the back of the restaurant manages to be comfortable and cozy without being flooded with cigarette smoke. It’s has exposed brick walls, nice art and good lighting. The restaurant and bar are really good — On the ground floor where the bar is they have casual dinning with high tables and upstairs is a more formal dining room — on top floor is a private dining room which you can hire for parties, the food is excellent, I was there on new years eve and i had a fantastic dinner. They have a good range of cocktails and they are not too expensive. The staff is really friendly and it’s definitely a place to check it out.

I’ve been here for drinks on a night out and with guests from out of town, and finally for a really nice dinner! For a night out, this place is pretty pricey. Sure the drinks are served in vintage style glasses, but 12 – 13EUR for a small glass of drink isn’t really worth it? It also takes forever to get a drink because of the slow ‘crafting’ process. I will say — dinner was absolutely wonderful. You walk upstairs and there is an open air lounge feeling restaurant. I didn’t think it was possible, but this place pulls off fancy casual. Fancy enough to where I was afraid to take pictures on a Saturday night for fear of being shamed, but casual enough so that you could wear jeans and a nicer top. You wouldn’t want to walk in with leggings and a baggy shirt per se! To start off, we had bread and olive oil. We also got a cheese board — really nice! I had the squid ink pasta with scallops. It was what my pasta dreams are made of! This garlic lemony sauce was such a nice cover for it all! We also had the pumpkin risotto — holy moly — it was creamy and hearty! Highly recommend both! Our service was absolutely wonderful. They time your dishes based on when you’re done with your last plate. Be sure to stop eating when you’re done with a plate so the waiter knows to get your main course ready. That would be especially important for folks like us who were headed to he theatre right after!

I had a bit of a mixed experienced in this place. On the one hand, the place looks cool and it has a great selection of drinks, but something about it feels wrong. It’s almost like they can’t make up their mind: are we a trendy bar with loud music, or are we a place to enjoy a drink with friends? Because I’ve had such a mixed feeling, I will probably be going back, and then maybe bump up the star count.

As of late, brunch has become the latest dining trend to flood the Dublin restaurant scene. This is great because now everywhere is competing to have the fanciest brunch menu and there is no shortage of places to get a good brunch. This trend is also a bit of a pain in the hole as now everyone and their memmeh goes for brunch on the weekend. On a lazy Saturday, we spent the day wandering around town looking for a decent brunch. We passed by a few places that have a good reputation for brunch(San Lorenzo’s, the Whitefriar Grill etc) only to find they were totally packed. I am ideologically opposed to the idea of making a reservation for brunch. Brunch is nothing but a fancy breakfast to make you feel human again while you are horrifically hungover. Booking a table doesn’t allow for you to be too hungover to leave the house. It means you need to get there at a specific time that non-hungover you thought seemed reasonable but hungover you thinks was a really bad idea. After a brief stroll around the area, we found Drury Buildings. I had seen the place a few times before, but the menu never really stood out for me. The brunch menu, however, looked pretty good. We went in, and were met with by the hostess at the door. She took us upstairs to a balcony over looking the beer garden. The place seems nice; lots of seats upstairs and downstairs. The beer garden looks pretty nice too. One thing I will say though that the crowd inside were relatively older than me; more in the 45 plus age bracket which leaves me feeling a little uncomfortable. I ordered the breakfast and my girlfriend got the wild mushroom on sourdough. The breakfast was amazing. In fact it was the best I have had in a long time. Everything was top quality. Also it was huge. I asked for some hollandaise on the side, which they gave me without any issues or a extra charge. The best part of the breakfast was definitely the salami hash. It was an absolutely amazingly delicious mess of potato and salami. I would order that by itself and happily pay a high price. The wild mushroom on sourdough dish looked pretty good too(if you are into that kind of thing). There was a huge variety of shrooms and herself was pleased. She also got a cocktail; the Selector. It was really good. Made me want to come back for drinks at some point. All in all this place does a damn fine brunch and some very nice drinks. It might be a little on the pricey side but you get what you pay for here.

Really enjoy chilling out here, great space both indoors and if I’m honest, the thing that makes this place great for me is the garden terrace out back! Love it, very unexpected from the outside but yes, there is a cute garden terrace which on a lovely day or warm evening, is the perfect place to hangout relax with their bar serving great selections of beers and wines. Have always found staff to be friendly and really attentive, table service is always on offer and served with a smile! If you’re looking for a casual meet up place, great for groups also this is your place… the food menu is nice from nibbles to full mains, you’re sure to find something to suit.

Not the best place if you want to catch up with your long no seen friends. It’s very loud. Prices are bit high, toilets are uni sex, I though that I am in wrong place. Calamari were nice. And the smoking area. You can sit down and have relaxed cigaret.

Really nice spot! I’ve been here a couple of times with friends over the past while and it’s definitely a popular after work spot! If you are going I’d recommend trying to get a table in the courtyard out the back, it’s really beautiful with the lights, flowers and balcony! They do some great cocktails, nice beers and even have that fancy ‘Curiosity Cola’…something my teetotal friend was really happy about! I haven’t tried the food here yet but would love to go back and get a table on the balcony, I would be happy to sit out there for the night. Saturday nights are, of course, really busy here but if you are lucky enough to get a table you’re sorted as there’s table service for the whole night!

I’m always excited to hear that a new cocktail bar has popped up for me to try and I was not disappointed by this one. They’ve made really good use of the outdoor space that they have and created a lovely seating area on two levels. It’s cosy and gently lit with plenty of heat lamps for the typical Irish weather. It’s clear from the cocktail menu that a lot of care and love was put into curating the list. Each cocktail is even dated so you can tell which era it came from. The bartenders really take a lot of time in making each cocktail so you know you’re in for a treat. I didn’t stay long on this visit but I’ll definitely be back again to sample more from the menu.

I ate there with 2 friends last Saturday night. Food was nice, nothing amazing. Staff were very nice & efficient. The major problem with this place was the unisex toilets!!! Totally disgusting to have to use the toilet after a man who didn’t care where he did it! Each time I went into a cubicle after a man I was faced with the same mess! The sinks were so stained it was also gross, just after eating all of this is hard to take! I will not recommend this restaurant to anybody!

Easily one of the best places I’ve eaten, let alone in Dublin. The veal was absolutely incredible as well as the prawns. The wait staff are incredibly friendly and polite. We have been here for drinks several times and tried their food for the first time tonight. We will not only be eating here again but will recommend them to all our friends.

Went here for the disco brunch event organized by the Gentlemans Academy! Tickets were € 25 and for that you got a free drink(Prosecco, Mimosa or Bloody Mary) and a meal from a menu of 6 items! DJ organized and good atmosphere in general! Bloody Mary was hands down the best I’ve had! Burger was top notch as well! Can’t comment on prices or the regular menu but on this basis there is no reason to fault this place. Whiskey selection was quite extensive! Didn’t stay long but looked like it would be a good afternoon so props to the academy and the location!

Have been meaning to come in here for a long time, so what better day than a long weekend when the sun is shining and we can sit outside in their little courtyard area. It’s a really lovely space that they’ve created here — simply decorated, with a contemporary but comfortable feel. We came in specifically for mojitos but they don’t do them! No worries, we had some whopper Mi Thais made for us instead which were really really delicious. The waiters were cool, calm & professional, but still really friendly. I didn’t have any food, but will definitely be back for the cocktails!

Lovely décor… bright and simple but all I will take from this establishment is the rip prices. I think I was served the smallest drink in history in here last night for € 12. Absolute rip off. Will not be back.

One of the best places to eat in Dublin! Everything is top notch– ambiance, service, food, drinks… Trendy and yet relaxed surroundings. A la carte is quite expensive, yet worth every penny! Early bird is excellent value! Highly recommended!

Every restaurants worst nightmare! We were a walk in party of three on a Saturday night, too late for pre theatre, and just before the serious a la crate crew start to arrive… Not a problem here, greeted and promptly seated! With a time limited table, but that was no issue for us. The menu reads well, lot to try and complemented with great specials, a smoking drinks list and a great selection of wine. There was nothing not to love. We skipped starters and wolfed down the delicious breads, really really good — a great first impression. For mains my friends had beef medallions, unanimously loved. I had the stone bass, which was delicious. We shared a dessert and a couple of coffees, good value and good food had by all. Service was friendly and warm, and in no way did we feel rushed. Lovely! The restaurant had a few large groups that kept the atmosphere lively, and we topped the evening off with a few drinks downstairs. The only one thing that could be better is the austere number of bathrooms, which seemed a few to few for such a large venue! Will be back!

Drinks only review :) ‘How much is a dram of Auchentoshan? What? Auchentoshan? Eh? Nevermind, can I get a Laddie 10? Eh…‘ I’ve never felt more pretentious when in a Dublin bar… seriously. Headed here on a whim but was taken in by the trendy surroundings that were not over the top but did impress. The scotch selection caught my eye immediately, but I get the impression that doesn’t happen too often. The crowd was fairly ‘Fade Street esque’ but grand. We could get a table at 9 in a Friday night and it got served quite quickly. The bar staff were pretty cool, nice guys and I feel like they’re a total asset in a place like this. The toilets were weird, unisex deals which didn’t float my boat but I guess I’m just not trendy enough! Looks like a great place to start a night!
