Really good coffee, and warm friendly staff. Cosy atmosphere. Looks like more of a sandwich café when walking by, but much more than that. Their avocado with bacon(and garlic and chili) from the brunch menu is reason enough to visit. Best brunch option in Ranelagh and reasonably priced.

What’s not to love, great food, great service and strong coffee — Er Buchetto has it all. The buchetto panini is delicious. They use a special hicks sausage, need I say more! If you’re in Ranelagh, this is a fantastic spot to grab something quick and delicious to eat.

Very small, charming, café. Tasty paninis with the finest, freshest ingredients. Only downside is space and the food doesn’t come with a side so it’s a bit pricy.

What a great place! You want an authentic Italian spot? Then here it is. From the Italian workers to the checkered table-clothes to the bright colours to the Italian pictures to the music selection — this is it. I ordered a cheese and tomato sandwich and coffee. The serving of the sandwich was such a treat to me. Placed on grease proof paper over a chopping board with a sharp knife of the side for me to cut pieces away. I love the tactile rustic element to it. The coffee was good too. Wonderful place to sit unperturbed for several hours and at the time there was a lot of folks who came alone to read, work or just sit in silence.

This casual family-friendly Italian-style corner café is a loyal member of Ranelagh’s coffee-snack tradition, serving a simple menu of sandwiches and soup, all easily affordable. Most famous for their paninis, they serve excellent salads as well, if you need a little break from all that bread. If you want to sit in for lunch, make sure you arrive early before the regular clientele comes rushing in. .

Erbuchetto is a charming Italian bakery and café in Ranelagh village. They offer great panini– the Prosciutto is a personal favorite– and great coffee. You can get everything as take-out or if you can find a free table to eat-in. Erbuchetto is a bit small though and gets quite busy at around lunchtime, so if you’re looking for a place to enjoy your coffee in peace you might want to wait until a bit later in the afternoon. The staff are very friendly and know how to make a great sandwich. To top it off, the panini and coffee at Erbuchetto are very reasonably priced. A great alternative to Pinocchio.
