Medipharm

I had an awful experience here, It’s stuck with me and I am echoing the rating of our French friend here.
I was a couple of days early for a refill, a month is either 28 days or 30 days, it varies! I was on day 28. Accused me of being a drug seeker! I was stunned.
Initially I said I would put the doctor on the phone to them, they didn’t want to go down that road.
I told them exactly what I thought of them. My Dr said there are two types of pharmacists — those that care and talk to doctors and then those who are arrogant and consequently useless. Never returned.
Another point, they are big into selling the BS that pharmacists sell, you know, the potion that’ll make you grow another toe!
My script would have been cheap, their BS more expensive. They are obviously money focused and not patient focused.
I’ve told people to avoid this store and the chain. I was dealing with an absolute useless idiot, an obnoxious person.
Were they even qualified lol?

I am in tears writing this review after being at the wrong end of the most racist encounter of my life!
Since I moved to the area 3 years ago I made this pharmacy my local one. I made a point of always going there. So today, I came in unsuspectedly to look at suncreams for my 2 year old daughter who was with me. I approached the creams and the manager (indian guy with a beard) asked if I was looking, I said yes and his response was: «get out of my shop», I was gobsmacked, I asked why and got: «I know you and your people, the romanians, they come in and take things…» he went on insulting me as I was in utter shock. I then pointed out I was french and I’ve been a regular customer for years but he was on a rant :‘I know you, your husband and your daughter’… There were no customers at the time but one of the ladies working there was doing her best not to hear what was going on and wouldn’t respond when I asked her to help explain the situation.
I left totally humiliated and in shock. I ask people to be careful with this establishment and perhaps chose another one that will not kick out a customer with years of prescriptions.

I was not a happy camper one morning in work; usually I have the constitution of an ox but prior to work I was getting sick (no not pregnancy unless it was the immaculate conception).
I forced myself to go in which was probably lesson one in how not to get well, but I’m a worker!
Anyhow feeling gank I popped in here during my break and they were wonderful. They prescribed me anti-​nausea pills and even came out with some water for me to have them there and then.
So utterly caring, plus it’s a large pharmacy with a good selection. My nausea subsided but I was ordered to go to sleep in the changing room… Very fun times.

As a short stop in for flu-​fighting essentials, to load up on post-​hospital supplies or for more information on a wide range of treatments and therapies, this is the place for you.
At the corner of George’s Street and Exchequer street, it’s easy to assume Medipharm is just another main street chemist. Step inside, and it’s a different feel entirely. This City Centre branch of the Medipharm brand (also in Dundrum and Mullingar) is staffed by well-​trained experts who dispense advice, suppliemtns, prescriptions and more. Monday through Saturday an in-​store health check facility is available to review treatment plans, medications and care options.
Out of hours service is also available, but you will need to call during the week for details.
At the heart of the store is the main entrance to the unaffiliated Hydro Clinic, specialising in nutritional assessment and cleansing. Through the pharmacy a chiropodist and herbalist are also available for consultation, though visits must be performed at other locations.

It seems odd to me to be reviewing a pharmacy here, but it occured to me that this is the place I would go to for any of my needs in this area.
The shop is very well laid out, and is very comfortable. There is always a member of staff available to help.
In terms of stock, they have a great range of absolutely everything you could need (and surely a lot you don’t need).
I guess the main reason I would go here over anywhere else is that they offer a flat 15% discount to all students, which to my knowlege isn’t topped anywhere else.
