After seeing this restaurant on Conde Nast Traveller, I made reservations for our visit to Capri. It is not conveniently located near«tourist attractions» but the trip is well worth it. The BF& I were mesmerized by the ambiance — perfectly manicured lemon groves giving it a fairytale setting for a romantic dinner. The service matched the ambiance and the food was just delectable. We ordered the Gnocchi, Lemon Chicken, and Mixed Seafood dish. The gnocchi was mouthwatering — the best gnocchi we ever had and we had some tasty gnocchi throughout this trip. The BF cannot stop talking about the Gnocchi still — hoping to go back when we return to Capri. The Lemon Chicken and Mixed Seafood were good but if I had to choose again I would probably stick to the pasta dishes because it really gives you the true taste of Italy. As far as pricing, I think it is reasonable given that you are truly paying for an unforgettable experience topped with great food! PS the restaurant arranges for taxi pick up — we really loved our swanky, red, open-top taxi — great island experience!!!

I would recommend for everyone to try something else. Found this place on Unilocal while vacationing in Capri. Went for a dinner and was very disappointed. Seafood bar is great but nothing special. You can order same combination of the dishes at any restaurant and may be even cheaper even though you are in Capri ;) Food was bad, really bad. Wine over priced. Ordered glass of wine and neat Jamesons After about 10 minutes waiter came back and told us no more Jamesons left which was ok, since they didn’t have what I wanted I ordered another glass of wine which I received after 10 minutes. That been said; service not too bad but food is.

Lemon risotto with shrimp had multiple shrimp not deveined. One still had legs and skin on it. Inexcusable for € 24 but I complained & they didn’t charge. Other dishes were good, but you’ve been warned.

Been to Capri many times and somehow missed this awesome experience! We loved dining under the lemon trees. There are even huge lemons holding candles on each table. Really breathtaking! That said, I did sit and wonder if any of those gigantic lemons ever dropped on a guests head? I loved the starter buffet. It’s plenty for dinner. Great veggies, fish and meatballs beautifully presented. I ordered spaghetti with cherry tomatoes. The tomatoes were mushed up(sauce like) not red and somewhat recognize able. I had specifically requested cherry tomatoes, not sauce. Didn’t like that .thus the 4 stars . Hubby liked his rib eye steak. We arrived during a storm. No leaks anywhere! A must visit as it’s truly unique!

Beautiful outdoor dining under lemon trees. Incredible seafood and vegetable buffet and fantastic pastas. Two of my daughters got the dessert table and they charged me 48 euro for 3 plus an additional 5 euro for gelato I asked the owner and she said plates were too big. For total tab of 308 euro is a horrible way to treat a customer. Loved the placed. Hated the attitude. Will take my business elsewhere during my next visit because I don’t need to be treated like this anywhere, especially on holiday.

Well, this was more than just eating at a restaurant, this was an experience… sitting in the court yard beneath the lemon trees was something else… that said though, they fell short on a few categories… and excelled in others… that atmosphere under the lemon trees was incredible, would have been better on a non humid night, but still amazing… The anti pasta bar was beautifully laid out and the food was very good… I recommend for sure the caprese… the tomatoes were some of the most flavorful I’ve EVER had… The main course was Sea Bass,(cooked in a salt crust), shrimp and calamari… They presented the fish raw to the table for us to see prior to preparing it, which was kind of a neat sight… the sea bass was amazing, tender and juicy… the calamari was a little too rubbery for my taste and the shrimp was nothing exceptional… the pasta was pretty good as well… the dessert bar was incredibly stocked panna cotta was delicious… they lose points for having mold on the black berries however… overall a good place with a good atmosphere, though I feel like at this point they are relying more on their reputation than anything else… I wold definitely go back with someone who has never been, but I wouldn’t go back again just for myself…

My absolute favorite meal during my time in Italy. If you find yourself on the island of Capri, GOHERE! It is simply gorgeous, romantic and overall stunning. The entire seating area of the restaurant is situated under lemon trees. So gorgeous and inviting. It was a glorious sunshiny day and the sun was peaking through all of the lemon trees. It was like a movie. Located walking distance from the Marina Grande, we went on a walking adventure to tour this side of the island and we followed the signs to «Ristorante da Paolino» and as soon as we arrived, we knew we made the right decision. We arrived right at noon, when they opened and our server was extremely welcoming from the first hello. The owners dogs were just roaming around and relaxing; we truly felt like we were in someone’s home. The ambiance was so raw and delicious. The kitchen was situated in the corner and open aired so you could see everything going on. The plating and bars were also open aired along the perimeter. The lemon theme was kept with the colors along the walls and even to the plates. The touch of having baskets of fresh lemons scattered around was so nice. I went with some red wine, server’s choice and it was lovely. For a starter, we went with«Bomb Paolino’s style“Bomb Paolino’s style” — Home-made pasta filled with ham and mozzarella. We mentioned we were splitting it and they brought it out cut in half on two plates. How nice! It was delicious. I could have eaten 5 more. So fresh. The tomato tasted like it was freshly picked from their backyard; which I wouldn’t doubt. For my entrée, I knew I had to go for pasta, since I was in Italy, and with lemons, because, hello! I was sitting under a lemon tree. I went for the«Ravioli Capresi«in lemon sauce and it melted in my mouth. Each bite was as flavorful as the one before and I savored each one. The pasta was perfection and the lemon balanced with the cheese was a fabulous combo. Complimentary ice cold lemoncello at the end was an extremely lovely and refreshing touch. I can not say enough good things about this experience. It was everything I ever could have imagined a lunch in Italy to be.

I couldn’t believe I didn’t review this restaurant sooner. It has been a little over a year, but I remember it was amazing and I will do my best to capture the evening… At the lower end of the island, take a taxi to and from here, if you’d rather not walk the hills. Once you enter this lovely restaurant you are surrounded by lemon trees and beautiful lighting that create the perfect ambiance. We were seated beneath the trees and ordered wine and caprese salad(HELLO, we’re INCAPRI!!) We then followed with two pasta dishes. I had the pasta di mare & hubs had the lemon ravioli. LEMON wins! I loved the fresh fish and it was prepared perfectly but there was just something about that lemon ravioli that was amazing. I don’t recall if we ordered a secondo(meat dish) or a dessert. I remember walking in the room with the desserts but maybe we just had a shot of lemoncello to end the meal. Remember, Capri = Caprese salad(tomato & mozzarella), lemons, fresh fish! Enjoy! Buon Appetito!

Best restaurant /dining experience i’ve ever had in my life. Food was killer, fresh mozzarella and pasta was ridiculous. The setting can’t be recreated, all tables are under real lemon trees. I’m from Manhattan and travel a lot, I’ll enjoy other restaurants but this will be the best restaurant i’ll ever eat at hands down. One tip, be sure to coordinate your taxi back to your hotel well. It’s not in a walking friendly area.

after a long trek, we made it here this afternoon to find that it was closed for lunch! however, we walked into the lemon grove, which was lovely. we saw the proprietor who offered us dessert and lemoncello, since we made the long journey. then we were able to sit on nice sofas and enjoy the weather. what a lovely way to end the day in capri.
