My meal was a 7-​Star experience. It was transformational. I have never experienced an event that approaches the elegance, and service that I experienced above the city of Michelangelo – Florence, Italy. Firenza – The view was spectacular. La Loggia in the Belmond-​Villa San Michele defines what elegance should be. The terrace design was based on the paintings of the great Michelangelo himself. My world class meal consisted of the following:
Minestra di pane con cavolo nero «Ribollita alla Toscana»
Traditional Tuscan vegetable soup made with bread and cabbage.
Bistecca di costata «Chianina» sui carboni con verdure dell’orto alla griglia.
Charcoal grilled Florentine Chianina beef steak served with grilled vegetables.
For dessert I had something simple: chocolate and pistachio gelato, coffee americana, and a complimentary display of Italian cookies. It is easy to understand why this is consistently known as one of the top restaurants in the Florence region. I always say that the future is street food. La Loggia is on the cutting edge of Florentine cuisine. It unobtrusively exceeds expectations with every step. I feel bad giving it only 5 stars as it truly deserves 7 stars – message to Unilocal!To La Loggia I simply say, Mille Grazie! A più tardi!
