Metropolis Rooms & Services was a nice way to end my trip in Italy. I wanted to be near the airport(it’s a 5-minute drive), and I just wanted some peace and quiet. This place is very small; it’s a guest house with 6 rooms, and it provided that peace that I needed. It is walkable to some nearby restaurants, a pharmacy, and a coffee shop. There is a cute garden area where you can sit outside. Looks like you can either bring your bikes or use the ones that they have, which is a generous perk. There is also a restaurant/nightclub. Mixo, adjoining the house, but it was not open during the time of year that I was visiting. All rooms have a theme, and I stayed in the Amsterdam room, which was decorated in red, super cute(all IKEA), and was very spacious. There was a living area with table/chairs, a couch futon, and a kitchenette. The bedroom was really adorable and had a private bath. There is free wifi, and it worked great! Since I was leaving at 5 am to go to the airport, the staff reserved me a taxi and left me a bag with a continental breakfast inside, which was a nice touch and greatly appreciated. Only negatives: 1) The reserved taxi never showed up. I had to call and get my own. 2) Only stairs. No elevator. I was located three flights of stairs up. HOWEVER, the staff did help me with my suitcase going up and down, which was SUPERAMAZING! I would definitely recommend staying here to anyone who needs some R&R after an exhausting(but AMAZING) trip in Italy. You get the solitude of it being a small guest house with some of the great amenities of a hotel.
