It was our last night in Florence when we discovered this AMAZING restaurant. Tucked away on a quite non distinctive street rests this wonderful gem. The outdoor patio in the back makes you feel like you’re in a hidden magical garden right out of a novel. The food is spectacular and the service goes above and beyond. Try the gazpacho soup, it’s like no other! Thanks Benedicto for making our night!!!

This is hands down the best restaurant I have been to in Italy, and I’ve now been here traveling here for over a week, eating out every meal. I had dinner with my family on a busy Friday night. The restaurant is very charming, we sat in the garden in back, which was quite intimate. The owner himself served us. He gave us water and bruschetta on the house for all four of us(a rarity in this country). He also talked us through our menu options and went so far as to tell us his history in the restaurant business when we asked. We had the house white wine, which was delicious yet not too expensive. For an appetizer we split two orders of the goat cheese with grapes and pine nuts, which was divine. I then had the risotto, which was delicious, would recommend it fully. My parents both had meat dishes, and loved what they ate, as did my little sister who just had spaghetti. The place was full of both Italians and travelers, a nice mix. Our bill for us four for appetizers, wine and entres was less than 100 euros, a great deal when you think about the quality, service and what you could pay for far less. By the time we left it was past close, but I did not at all feel rushed out. All in all I highly recommend Benedicta!

If you’re ever in Florence, make sure you have dinner one night at Benedicta. The food is a remarkable blend of Italian cuisine cooked with a distinctly French approach. Located off the beaten path, the restaurant is far from a tourist trap and features inventive cooking and fantastic service amid a quiet, charming setting.
