SOOOOO cool! Made my own ice cream– dark chocolate isn’t too dark. Got dark chocolate covering with vanilla on the inside and 3 toppings: marshmallows, hazelnut, and brownies = 4.50(euro) heaven

People writing bad reviews don’t know what they are talking about. The ice cream was mind blowing and I’d love nothing more than to go back there! Forgot my purse and the staff was nice enough to put it aside for me!

Vergesst Magnum Firenze! Geht lieber in eine der vielen Florentiner Eisdielen und gebt euch dort wahrem Eisgenuss hin! Da hilft auch kein Bling-Bling-Eis im Schaufenster oder der Duomo aus Magnum-Holzstielen an der Wand! Selbst Schoko-Eruptionen und Blattgold-Regen in XXL auf einer Videowand können nicht davon ablenken, dass das hier gebotene Customized Magnum nicht mal einen Cent seiner teuren 4,50 € wert ist. Vorgefertigtes Vanille– oder Schokoladeneis am Stiel wird nach Wunsch in flüssige Schokolade getaucht und mit verschiedenen Toppings bestreut. Blattgold entdeckte ich nirgends. Aber selbst getrocknete Rosenblüten können optisch kaum verschleiern, welch geschmackliche Enttäuschung auf deine Geschmacksnerven wartet. Dieses Magnum hat nichts mit dem Magnum aus dem Kühlregal gemein. Meinem Schokoladen-Eiskern fehlten gänzlich die gewohnte feste cremige Konsistenz und das reiche Schokoaroma. Ein kompletter Reinfall! Hier lebt jemand von seinem Namen!

Magnifico! Nearly passed this place by until we realized you get to customize your own Magnum bar! How cool is that?! The art and creativity of Florence touches every aspect of life, including ice cream. Lots of variety in toppings from nuts to rose petals. The staff are committed and they walk you through the entire process. Watching them dip ice cream into warm chocolate and then roll it into the three toppings of your choosing is truly awe inspiring. One day I hope to master my own craft half as well as they have theirs. To top it all of they have air conditioning and a restroom! Thank you sweet sweet Florence for showing me that there is so much more to be done with ice cream bars.

I was so excited when I saw this, I love magum and the idea of creating my own was mind blowing. This is in prime location next to the duomo so there are huge lines but if you come during off hours you’ll get in right away. The ice cream was good, you only get to choose 4 toppings which at first was annoying but too many toppings probably wouldn’t have been good. The space itself is huge but poorly done. There was seating but it seemed very cold and not inviting and there were napkins all over the place. The staff could do a better job of keeping the place clean.

Honestly, great idea. Shame that a prime location like the one that they managed to secure is kept like a university canteen. There are few tables, strange plastic seats, lots of paper napkins scattered all over the place, leftovers of Magnums lying around the few surfaces where it’s possible to leave them. Staff is quite depressed, they took our order without a smile, not an hint of enthusiasm for the job that they were doing. We even ordered a cappuccino, which they managed to make a mess of, as nobody at the bar knew how to make(we are in Italy for God’ sake!). Again the idea is nice, the place is badly run/kept, prices are just crazy(4.5 euro for a pre-made ice cream). Need to add content to that price tag quickly or the novelty effect will fade pretty soon.

Totally not worth it for Affogato. That was a waste. At least I got to use their toilet and wi-fi.
