Great service, great food, and great value. Usually you can only pick 2 of those. We ordered the fried artichoke, various pizzas, as well as the house wine. Every part was thoroughly enjoyed.

Recommended by our hotel owner and did not disappoint! Had fried artichoke, Gorgonzola gnocchi and salmon risotto. Finished with tiramisu. Nice quiet street and great meal and value. Wish we were staying longer so I could go back.

Excellent rapport qualité/prix. Une ambiance toute romaine. Cuisine familiale.

‘Twas a long day of travel… stopped into De Vito de Dina based upon our hotel proprietors Recco… did not disappoint! 4 Gnocchi’s from our vantage, felt very welcomed, proprietor stopped by… all good! Pasta bolognese was spot on w/gnocchi off the charts… presentation, depth of the sauce is beyond simple description, suppleness of gnocchi, lights out baby!!! Can’t wait to hit the streets tomorrow to try to top this family run establishment!!! Worth a stop when near the Vatican and looking to avoid the tourist venues… that’s no guff!

Had the prosciutto and seafood pasta. Both were really good! Be prepared to be surrounded by tourists though but in my opinion, as long as the food is good then it doesn’t matter. Didn’t give it 5 stars because it was pretty good but not breathtaking.

Dinner was perfection! And the service was friendly and attentive. When in Rome… you really must! I enjoyed a bass that melts in the mouth, and my husband had the best lasagne I’ve ever tasted.(I let him have some too.) I was craving potato crochettes and they were crispy and well made. If we lived here, we wouldn’t be able to stay away.

A hole in the wall in the Prati neighborhood near the Vatican. Went here two times during our stay. Both times the food was very good. Their Tiramisu is especially good and so is the house wine. would highly recommend this place.

We landed here based on a recommendation from the USO — had a nice(and very welcome!) lunch after spending three hours on our feet touring the Vatican. Service was friendly though needed a nudge at times(as stated in other reviews). Our lunch was good and we left happy, but truth be told … I think I would need to come back again to be able to rate it more than ***. Some of the other reviews are absolutely lovely and I don’t feel like we were as wow’d by our experience.

A nice little restaurant. The pasta and gnocchi are tasty. The waiter is very friendly and try the best to explain the menu to us. Also don’t forget the tiramisu. It is nice with a cup cappuccino.

Service here is warm, if at times a little too casual(the people on the table next to us asked for oil and vinegar for their bread three times; we asked for the bill twice). We had the house mixed antipasti which was very nice. Absolutely delicious rigatone gricia; great gnocchi; average house red and wonderful desserts. Average house red for the area. Overall, I would recommend this restaurant for a reasonably priced, tasty dinner.

Stopped in there today after a very cold early morning waiting to see the Pope. The staff was super nice(they welcomed me in early, even before they officially opened) and the gnocchi Gorgonzola was AMAZING!!! Highly recommend.

This restaurant is the incarnation of the perfect Italian I have ever had. The staff is friendly and the food is astonishing. Try the fried artichoke, it amazes even me. The lasagna is smooth as silk while the seafood spaghetti blows your mind. This is a tiny gem in Rome and not to be overlooked.

Had dinner here with two new friends after San Pietro Basilica. Had a taste of the menu: prosciutto and mozzarella, bruschetta, fried artichoke, grilled portobello, house red wine, spaghetti carbonara, cavatelli with red sauce and bacon. They gave us limoncello on the house when we finished. Everything was molto delicioso!

Such an amazing place, the best restaurant we ate during our 5 days stay in Rome, traditional Italian food affordable but the taste! Oh my! Their carbonara and gnocchis are to die for! If you are in the area this is more important to do than the Vatican itself!

Came in here after a long day at the Vatican. Friendly staff, great food. We had the suppi and carciofi alla Romana, both were delicious snacks. The suppi comes in one small size so order a few if you’re hungry. The staff didn’t speak English but the menu was half in English so with that, we were able to order no problem. Definitely would recommend this spot for a quick snack or maybe even dinner.

This restaurant is such a hidden treasure! The owner was super nice and friendly! He cooked us delicious food and offered us three free dishes! His little restaurant had served a lot of famous people such as the Pope. I strongly recommend the steak, pizza and past!

Tasty dinner with my parents on a Monday evening. They had the spaghetti with clams that was delicious, but our favorite was my prosciutto pizza! The starter of boiled artichoke was flavorful but a bit mushy in texture. Overall a very good dining experience.

We were starving after touring the Vatican, so desperately searched for a place nearby for Italian food. We were so glad to have found this place. We ordered the mussels as starter, then the seafood pasta and pizza with mushrooms/parma ham/eggs. Everything was solid and hit the spot for us. I liked how they didn’t try to hard to be fancy but stuck to the core of everything. In the end, this simplicity was what won us over. Service began nicely, though a part of it might have been because we walked in before it was even 6pm(yes, we were that hungry). The owner himself kindly took our order and was prompt in serving all that we ordered. However, once the restaurant got busier and his waiter employees started serving, service got a little subpar. We had to ask for the bill three times and waited for a good 15mins before they finally brought it for us. Finally, the ambience is casual and quite homey. Walking distance from St Peter’s Square, and I’d definitely recommend it for a quick Italian fix!
