The best lunch place I’ve ever been to. While every dish is great here, the buffalo burrata and Oppidum wine are outstanding. My husband and I found this on TripAdvisor, and decided to try it. It’s a tiny bistro you can walk past if you aren’t looking carefully – only 5 tables. We had the cheese platter(selection of cheese with compote and three kinds of honey) and melon and prosciutto. We asked the owner for a wine recommendation, which led to a long discussion of the wine his family makes – very enthusiastic and friendly. The owner’s family produces much of the cheese and wine here, and he’s clearly passionate about what he does. The food was so good that we went back twice more, and tried most of the menu.

This place is the absolutely perfect place for a snack before dinner — everything is locally sourced, and the owner’s family actually makes a good portion of the food themselves. We ordered the large cheese & meat spread(25 euros) and bottle of the family’s rose wine(15 euros) and could not have been happier. The portion was huge, and everything was just so incredibly delicious. The owner was very friendly, and even explained all the food and their sourcing information. Just a wonderful local business, that if I lived in Rome I would be there every week.
