McDonald’s

Close to our hotel, convenient enough.
Employees were quick and friendly. After eating lots of delicious Italian food, we were in the mood for something different. For the most part, their menu is very similar to the ones in the U.S. There were a few items added on. Also, when we asked for ketchup for our fries, there is a charge for that. This location gets super packed, since it’s really close to a lot of hotels.
Not a bad option to have on hand if you want something quick.

If this is the mcDonalds on the corner, where you go in and downstairs into a basement location, good & service horrible. We were staying at boscolo exedra hotel, and wanted a quick breakfast put last day. We actually had to throw all the food in the trash, it was inedible. Hash browns stunk of old oil. Eggs were a nasty mess. I asked for the pats of butter for the bisquit and they didn’t have any. We dumped it, being afraid we would get very sick. There is no way this dump should have a franchise, it’s nasty!!!

Typical Italian style /​attitude but I actually got my food in a timely fashion and it was correct! On top of that its just 1 € for a cold Moretti Beer!

Una de las cosas que me sorprendió de Roma es que la todopoderosa franquicia de McDonald’s aquí apenas tuviese presencia. Tienen pocos locales, la mayoría de ellos se nota que están mantenidos con poca inversión, excepto el de Piazza Spagna y el del Aeropuerto, señal de que no les deben resultar muy rentables.
Y no me extraña, nunca vi a ningún italiano en un McDonald’s. Se ve que allí este tipo de comida no triunfa, les gusta la comida de ingredientes frescos típicos de Italia, lo cual es normal porque tienen una de las mejores gastronomías del planeta. En los McDonald’s solo vi a extranjeros, y muy pocos, la mayoría estaban prácticamente vacíos, cuando esta es una franquicia que en cualquier otro sitio tiene los locales a reventar de clientes.
El servicio es el típico de la franquicia, misma carta de productos y precios. En ese aspecto poco hay que decir, servicio rápido de hamburguesas ricas desde precios ridículos hasta precios más altos según lo que busque cada uno. Pero la verdad es que la imagen que da este bar de sótano sin ambiente ni ambientación es muy malo y por eso no recomiendo ir, no llama ni a entrar ni a permanecer dentro. Eso sí, la localización es muy buena, al lado de la Piazza della Repubblica.

This was the McDonald’s closest to our hotel in Rome. It is a dump. It’s filthy, crowded and the staff is not friendly. As for the food? It’s fine. It’s McDonald’s. It’s a good cheap option.

After countless fine dining experience at the local italian eateries I found myself homesick for some good old fashioned «Terrible For You» American fast food and this place delivered.
The staff was friendly and bilingual.
After I placed my order and attempted to pay with my credit card the employee behind the counter let me know that It had been declined… Knowing that my card was in perfect working order this came as a surprise. She asked if I had any cash but unfortunately I did not. The manager, Simon, cam over and attempted to authorize that transaction to no avail.
I was pretty bummed, I was sick of the local delicious italian food and was in the mood for some American Fast Food. Simon saw that I was pretty bummed and said, «Today you are my guest. Today your meal is on me!»
I cannot thank him enough for his kindness. If I could give this place 10+ stars I
