This place is the best. Good, cheap pasta I would eat here for every meal of my bf allowed me. It’s simple pasta but still tasteful. If I ever come back, this is the place to go. Every pasta dish ranges from 5 – 7 euros.

The pasta here is great! I had the pasta with Marinara sauce — that was the better of the two that we got. The other one was pasta carbonara. Both were good. It’s a little hole in the wall place with very little room to sit down and eat(just a bar style seating for 5 along a wall. Nothing fancy. The pasta comes out on paper plates with plastic utensils but the food is great, fast, cheap and staff are friendly. Perfect for what it is.

great pasta in literally 5 minutes! my brother had the pappardelle with meat ragu while I had the mushroom pappardelle — both did not disappoint. with its proximity to the Vatican you might think that this is just a tourist trap, but it is the real deal!

After a long day in the Vatican this was the perfect spot. It’s tucked in an alley right next to a very busy pizza shop. They make all of their pasta daily(and even have a case if you want to buy some) and have a set menu at 5.50 Euro. They have about 10 dishes, my girlfriend had the pesto and I had the bolognase, and they were both good, especially for the price. The best part was they were always quick. This is a great place to stop in if you want a tasty, quick, carb loaded lunch.

Went in here right after the Papal Audience on Wednesday morning. Ordered the Carbonara and was sorely disappointed. Looked good on the plate but was way too salty to the point of being inedible. Tried my friends pasta bolognese and they did a much better job with that. So careful what you order here, as it seems like a big swing and a miss for some dishes and decent for others.

Five euros for a big plate of delicious, fresh made pasta? Yes please! I had the fettuccine with ragu — a little thin on the meat but both the pasta and sauce were on point! Had a small bottle of red wine for 2 euros– not the best vino but really can’t complain. I was very satisfied with this quick, delicious and satisfying dinner that powered me through a three hour walking tour in the Vatican museum after!

My girlfriend and I ordered the pappardelle al Ragu. The pasta was hard, as if it was not cooked fully. The sauce tasted okay; however I felt there wasn’t enough of it or enough meat in the sauce. We’ve had better pasta in Italy.

This is a superb pasta Take Away place! We had two very nice pastas at Pastasciutta for lunch today. The Pasta is freshly made in the little kitchen which you can see from the tiny eat-in«bar seating». There was a full house and a small line but our food was ready in approx 5min. The place is located just behind St. Peters Square so take your pasta To Go in the excellent Take Away containers when you have seen the church and sit on the stone hedge at the little square just around the corner. The pastas are simple but very tasteful and prices around 5 – 6 euros — what’s not to like

The place didn’t live up to the comments. Pasta wasn’t cooked and the staff was rude. Very disappointing. But 3 stars for the nice flavour.

If you are looking for street food in rome. This is the place. Great pasta. Great price. Good people. If you are in a budget. This is the place. The next door is a pizza place. You can’t go wrong.

Great for a quick and cheap meal. This tiny place is close to the Vatican. It serves cheap and delicious pasta. The portions are large, and you can pay a little extra to upgrade to an even larger plate if you wanted. They prepare your pasta really quick, I’d say 2 – 5 minutes depending on how busy it is. The pasta is fresh and chewy and simple. If you want to dine in, there’s a small counter inside with chairs, otherwise you can stand outside at the window counter, which has enough room for two. I see lots of people just standing outside with their pasta.

Picked this spot for lunch the day we visited the Vatican back in October 2015. We enjoyed our fresh, inexpensive pasta for a lovely quick meal. It’s a small place with very little seating, so just be aware you may need to get yours to go.

Rapport qualité prix imbattable. Pâtes excellentes, service rapide et agréable. Et pour finir, très bien placé à côté de la basilique Saint Pierre.

There’s a bit of a story on how we found this place… on our trip to the Vatican for the first time, we confused the entrance to the St. Peters basilica for the Vatican museum. We asked a guard if we were going the right way. It just so happened that the man he was speaking to before us was a guide and graciously showed us the way. Which is a 7 minute investment of time. Along the way he gave us tips and this place and the pizza to go page next door were the best tips along with taking the forbidden group exit from the Sistine chapel as a short cut to the basilica. When we finally got to the entrance of the Vatican museum I tried to hand him some cash as a top and insisted that it was his pleasure… really good guy his name is Max Leotta. Look him up on Google as Max Leota rome tour guide

Highly recommend coming here for a bite to eat, especially if you’re going to see/be by the Vatican! Came here twice during our 3-day stay in Rome and this will probably one of the things I dream about when I think back to my time in Europe! This place serves by far the best pasta I’ve ever had. It super fresh, flavorful, and inexpensive. Only € 5.50 per plate? Such a steal, especially being just around the corner from the Vatican. Tried the carbonara, ravioli, and gnocchi — would recommend any and all!

Inexpensive & delicious fresh al dente pasta! Friendly staff and small, cute shop. Great for vegetarians too. Right by the action. Refreshing to find great food for a non-tourist price. Definitely go if you have the chance!

Amazing, fresh pasta! On par with the much more expensive restaurants. It’s conveniently tucked away about 5 minutes or so from the Vatican Museum. It’s small on the inside with a little room for sitting, but you can also get takeaway. So glad my friend and I stumbled into this little place!

Spent a exhausting morning walking around the Vatican or just queuing for a glimpse inside the basilica. This place is great for a quick and small meal. The sign reads 2 – 3 minutes, ready while you wait. There’s no large seating area but you get a proper disposable fork and cup so you can just keep going or eat it somewhere with a view. They have just enough pastas on the menu to make the choice easy, all fresh and home made, cooked a la minute. And very tasty. Great concept going on there.

Cheap, fresh and near the Vatican! Four pasta items on menu, we opted for ravioli. Next to Alice Pizza; a worthy alternative.
