I came here last month while on a very short stay in Rome. I had the Spaghetti Bolognese(which was delicious) and the wild boar dish(which was good. Not great but good) The service was a tiny bit slow the but friendly. The main issue I had was a group of people who come play music outside(and are very good) but then they walk around the outside patio area(I don’t think they are allowed inside) asking for money. They werent too pushy and I was happy to donate 1 – 2 euro for the entertainment but i was solo. I can see how this would be disturbing for people engaged in conversation or out for a romantic dinner. Also as a quick mention, I did very much like the atmosphere. nice building and cute outdoor seating. I give this is place a B rating. Def good and def filling. Probably better places to go nearby but this wasn’t bad at all. Id go back if I was in town.

«Meh, I’ve experienced better» hits the nail right on the head with this place. We went here off of a misguided tourbook recommendation. We learned quickly that the best places are those you stumble upon. The atmosphere here is great. We loved watching the chef prepare much of the food in the wood-fired oven but other than that we were left wanting more. The service was absolutely dreadful as we waited almost 30 minutes in a half-full restaurant to finally have our waitress introduce herself. The cacio e pepe was almost inedible you could’ve almost asked«do you want some pasta with that pepper?». It might have been a bad night and we might have ordered the dishes that every restaurant has that are just«misses», but we would go back to give the pizzas a shot since they looked very very good. Ok, but yea, it could’ve been better.

Good food and atmosphere, but staff was a bit pushy and rushed even without a ton of crowds on a Saturday night. The waiter tried to discourage us from getting the spaghetti Bolognese but it ended up being really good. Nice spicy options if you like that as well, but they didn’t really have a house wine. A cheaper eat in Rome and a great value! Recommended for a nice date night.

On aime

Came here because its late August, and most of the local restaurants we wanted to try were closed. We chose this because it was simple and slightly off the beaten path from the tourist traps directly adjacent to the Trevi. First — the mozzarella Di bufala(which I use as a litmus test for the ingredient sourcing of every Italian restaurant) was shaky. Instead of being light and milky it was chewy and dense. The pizza came out of the oven very quickly and not hot, ergo premade with toppings tossed on after the fact. As I’m finishing this I have a guy blowing an accordion in my ear shaking a cup at me. Based on the conversation the table next to me had with the waiter, Rick Steves was here 7 years ago and freaking loved it. Note to self: never listen to Rick Steves.
