The best ‘casual’ dining experience we’ve had in our 2 weeks across Italy. We had classic Italian dishes and they were great. The menu was surprisingly large so lots to choose from.

We had a wonderful pizza making experience tonight. Nandolino was our host and he was very patient with my children. And the pizza was awesome. I strongly recommend this restaurant and the pizza making experience.

Really quite nice! Ordered the«that’s amore» bruschetta. I was a little disappointed with the quality of the bufala mozzarella, but everything else was so good. I was disappointed that there was no local wine by the glass. The service was excellent, however. Very personable waitstaff that really wanted you to enjoy the food. It certainly was a touristy experience but great for the area.

On our last night in Italy we wandered out for a simple dinner that wouldn’t take three hours(Italian dining is much slower-paced than in the US, even in Rome where they tend to be a little more rushed than in other towns/cities). That’s Amore was just a block from our hotel and was always crowded when we had walked by on other nights, but we were on the early side for dinner(6:30) and were able to get a seat. Although the staff dress nicely and other diners were dressed up, we were pretty casually dressed and this was no problem. Being close to tourist sites, I’m sure, makes the atmosphere more friendly and accepting. All the staff were friendly and polite, but very professional. Yes, the tables are close together, and yes, you have to pay for water and there is a «cover/service» charge — all of which is normal in Italy! We had the sampler bruschetta, which was delicious, a calzone and a pizza — both of which were huge and tasty. The couple next to us, from the UK, were happy with their meal as well — can’t remember what they had but it included pasta. The prices were typical for Rome — which we found to be higher than Tuscany, where we had been previously. Delicious wine and prosecco, as well. The level of service here was similar to a high-end American restaurant, but with the laid back approach of Italy. Would definitely go again!

HUGE tourist trap. I came here to eat my first meal in Roma. I figured it would be great and I had nothing to compare it to so j was sure it would exceed whatever low expectation I had. I should have followed my gut and not gone to a restaurant that has an American word in the name, DUH! Food was subpar, to say the least. I was pissed at the empty calories I was consuming and paying for, when the food didn’t even taste good. We ordered the seafood pasta(spaghetti frutti di mare 14 €) and mushroom pizza(pizza porcina 12 €). Seafood pasta wasn’t THAT terrible, but it definitely was not good, and DEFINITELY not worth 14 €. The first few bites were kind of gross but it got better when the sauce started to settle. Also, the noodles were cooked okay. The pizza had arugula on top and was tasteless. I literally dipped my pizza in olive oil and balsamic to add some kind of flavor into it. And it was 12 €. NO. The worst part of the experience was the service: first, the server greeted me and it was fine. She asked what we wanted to drink and I said we didn’t want anything because we had been drinking water/juice/whatever all morning. She looked at me and starting raising her voice telling me that we HAD to order a beverage… Wtf? Isn’t it up to me whether I drink something or not? That was irritating. Mom saw that I wasn’t gonna have it and was about to tell her so, so in an effort to make her chill out and also so that I wouldn’t say something, she jumped in and said that she’d just have the OJ the girl next to our table ordered. The same server goes and gets a bottled OJ and fills a tiny cup with it. That was 4 €. Are you kidding me? 4 € for tiny bottled OJ??? This was not a special orange juice. It did not give you magical powers. It was not organic. It was not freshly squeezed. It did not taste particularly good. It came out of a little bottle that she didn’t even bother pouring. Now I’m paying almost $ 5 for a drink nobody even wants. So. Much. Anger. Then– the worst part: the girl goes over and stands in the dining room and picks her nose and keeps rubbing her nose for like 5 minutes. Then I saw her pick up someone’s pizza and serve it to them. Mind you, the pizzas are large so they come a bit off the plate so her nasty snot-filled fingers are actually touching the food. HAIL. NO. Luckily, she did not serve us our food. Otherwise I would have flipped a table and left. Anyway, the bill came out to 33 €(they auto-add 1.50 € per person for bread/service). You led me astray, Unilocal! So many times, I fought the urge to just get up and leave. Now I am kicking myself because I suppressed that urge. Also, the wifi doesn’t work so don’t believe the sign. Or maybe it just didn’t work when I happened to be there. Either way, no. End rant.

AMAZING! Too bad we only found this place out the last night we had in Rome,(. The food was very very good, the staff was very polite. Can’t wait to go to Rome to eat here again. This is a must go to restaurant when in Rome!

Over hyped. Free wifi. I ordered the overpriced mushroom risotto and my friend had the seafood spaghetti. We walked in and this is definitely a tourist trap. Why would someone pay so much for creamy rice? Maybe if there was a strong truffle taste I would. As for the bread, we had to ask our neighboring table for olive oil since our waiter wasn’t pleasant. I was searching for the bathroom and one of the waiters were so rude! He said this is the kitchen not the bathroom. I can clearly see the difference between a bathroom and a kitchen, he didn’t need to give me a tone. The path to the bathroom is left once you hit the kitchen.

This place is a tourist trap. They think because they have good reviews on trip advisor they can treat their patrons horribly. We walked in behind a family of 4 the hostess was shaking the fathers hand and sat them immediately with menus. We were seated after with no menus. We sat for 10 – 15 minutes with nothing. An older Italian couple was seated after we had been waiting and given instant service. I told the waitress, «we’re still waiting for menus…» And she held up her finger like hold on… So we literally walked out. Maybe the food is good… I will never know.

Really good authentic Italian cuisine. Staff was super friendly and helpful, and service was good and quick overall. Highly recommend the carbonara or the risotto but everything was good, including the fettuccine Alfredo. Only complaint is that the food was slightly too salty so by the end of the meal, I was desperate for water.

Bruschetta was delicious and the truffle mushroom pasta was a dream! Portions are decent not too big and their house white wine is good as well. Not too far from the trivia fountain.

Divine! Can I give it more than 5 stars? I was in Italy on a trip with my parents(because cool adult children vacation with their parents). My dad actually found this place on Trip Advisor — I’m glad he did! We worked our way there as we visited the Trevi and other hits spots. Make sure you make a reservation. The restaurant is a little small and very popular, but perfectly cozy. The inside is homey and clean and definitely looks like it was decorated with love. We took public transportation and walked everywhere — this place is very easy to find if you can use your GPS. It is on a corner of a small street. We all had some drinks — wine! Because… wine not? :) You’re in Italy, so please indulge in their amazing wine. Also, wine is actually cheaper than water in most places so save some money and drink wine! We started off with the Bruschette That’s Amore(amazing bread with tomatoes on one, cheese on one and oil-garlic spread on another). It as different and delicious. Their presentation is also amazing — very impressive. We all had a different pasta dish for dinner. Spaghetti con salmone, pomodorini e menta fresca(wild salmon with cherry tomatoes and fresh mint for € 13), spaghetti ai frutti di mare(with mussels, clams, shrimp, squid for € 14) and fettuccine al ragu bolognese(homemade pasta with homemade meat ragout). Everything was so perfect — presentation, temperature, portion, TASTE. I love pasta in Italy — it is made right with the finest ingredients. They also know how much food is just enough to allow you to be happy and full without ever feeling uncomfortable from overeating — how do they do that?! You will devour(in the most proper way possible) everything on your plate — leaving no sauce — and leave happily satisfied. My salmon dish was flavorful and well portioned with all its ingredients. We were so happy and full, we did not get big dessert. Delicious and elegant. A perfect place for a date, but also lovely dinner spot for us. I will and am highly recommending it! Okay, I don’t want to hype the place up… just enjoy this fine(yet affordable) dining experience! Bön appetit :)

Amazing food! If you’re reading this call and make a reservation now! We went and they were booked till 9:45 pm luckily we asked for opening at the bar and they had two openings. Both my husband and I ordered pasta dish that was so delicious and you can taste it was handmade. Chianti wine was delicious! Tiramisu was on point. Yum yum yum wish we had more!

I made a reservation online for two people at 9pm on their website prior to traveling to Italy. It was pretty straight forward despite the process and confirmation email being in all Italian. On the day of, after trekking all day through Rome with tired feet and and grumbling stomachs, my boyfriend and I decided to go to the restaurant a little early to see if they would be able to seat us sooner. We got there around 630pm and were seated immediately. I got the Carbonara based off the recommendation from the couple next to us who were also visiting from the US. For 12 euros it was just the right amount in portion. It was made with pork cheek(similar to bacon in terms of how it was prepped), egg, sauce and pecorino cheese. I took my first bite and I was in heaven. Honestly, deep down I felt immense sadness because I realized pasta at home will never be the same… We shared the Prosciutto with mozzarella and focaccia bread(13 euros) and my bf got the Lasagna with meat ragout, tomato and fresh mozzarella(12 euros). All were very good. This restaurant was everything I ever imagined it to be. Cozy, simple, and walls adorned with old photographs. It was absolutely charming and the food amazing.

Was in the area and we originally were trying to go to another restaurant but they were filled for the night. Walked around the area and stumbled upon this place. Put our name down and there was about a 45 minute wait for a table. Now would be a good time to mention that the hostess was very friendly. One of the other gentlemen was brining by small glasses with wine for the people that were waiting. Finally got seated and ordered the following: 1 — Bruschetta — it was alright. Decent portion but I had better bruschetta the next day. 2 — Fettuccine al tartufo nero e funghi porcini — Excellent. Pasta was very fresh and the truffle sauce was outstanding. Very good size portion as well. 3 — That’s Amore Ravioli — wife ordered this and I thought it was very good as well. Definitely lighter than my dish. 4 — Rosemary potatoes — Pretty good as well. Service was very friendly. They were pretty swamped so service was a bit slow but not terribly. Our dinner ended up costing $ 48 euro or so, so it wasn’t terrible. Portions definitely were generous. I would definitely come back here and recommend it to anybody in the neighborhood.

If you are in Trevi and looking for cosy, nice atmoshphere with great service stop by here. We made a reservation day before due to long queue. We had fettuccini with truffle and Alfredo fettuccini, extremly nice! Service is great, very nice people and you can find cheap wines starting 5euros per glasses.

Ate here two nights in a row during our stay in Rome! Service was fantastic! Their pizzas were only okay but the pastas were delicious! Our first night we started off with the bruchetta. Pretty good. Cant mess up on bruchetta, really. For our main dishes we got the broccoli and sausage pizza which was decent(the broccoli taste really overpowered everything else on the pizza). Also ordered the seafood pasta with the wide tube noodles which was bomb! Best pasta I’ve ever eaten. Our 2nd night we got the carbonara pasta and the truffle mushroom pasta! Both were delicious and no complaints! We also got this seafood salad but the seafood tasted a little burnt. Other than that, no complaints! Very cozy place and located near the Trevi Fountain across from Pasta Amore!

Simply amazing! Came here 3 nights in a row. Everybody is extremely nice and helpful. Had the fettucini bolognese and the mozzarella tomato salad on the 1st night. The next 2 nights I started with the fettucini bolognese and had the filet right after! I’m a big guy so u can eat a lot but I literally had 2 whole meals each night! So good! The steak is good but I’ve had better at steakhouses. Not saying don’t order it but don’t expect a fine steakhouse filet. The peppercorn sauce is good and I would eat it again any day. I however totally loved the fettucini bolognese so much I ate it all 3 nights. Currently traveling for work by myself but I will be back with my wife next year! Definitely recommend!

Caters completely to tourists with an English menu but that’s not necessarily a bad thing after sight seeing and walking on foot all day all over Rome! Sometimes you’re tired and just want a plate of pasta and wine to end the evening. Pasta bolognese was hearty and the carbonara was creamy and delicious. Big heaping portions of pasta, nicely cooked noodles and good flavor. Service is friendly and accommodating. We were able to sit by a great table near a window after asking(although it was still early enough to let us choose).

Absolut empfehlenswert.
