German food + German beer + cozy atmosphere = Prost! The food is great. I especially loved the pan-fried potatoes with onion and bacon. I couldn’t stop eating them(they complemented my beer(s) quite nicely…) My friend knew to call ahead and reserve a circular table near the back of the main dining room for the five of us meeting for dinner. It felt homey, and it was easy for us to share our food. There may be a bit more selection, beer-on-tap and menu-items –wise, at Bierengel in Cordenons, but this spot feels a little more cozy and the quality of the food is slightly higher. I would recommend either spot if you’re jonesin’ for a German fix. Personally, I think Bierengel might be better for big rowdy groups, and Sacro Graal is better for a cozy, intimate dinner with [half-liters of] beer. Some of the beer selections in bottles might be more exotic here. I recommend you try both, and see which you prefer.(Like me, it might be «both — for different reasons».)
