For the price, this place is amazing. 11 meals plus a salad, 6 listers of wine, and some bottles of water came out to 140 euro. The pasta was pretty good, not unbelievable. But the rotisserie chicken was great. There is way better food in Sorrento but If you want a cheap meal with good food, this is a great spot. The service was a little negligent though.

Our favorite restaurante in Sorrento! The caprese salad is a must during the summer and their house wine is a fun, fizzy red. Unique? Yes. Delicious and worth a visit? Absolutely.
Bonus points because it’s clearly a local place, not just there for tourists :) What they lack in a view is more than made up for in delicious food and a local vibe.

Great place to eat when visiting the island. Fast and good service. Their pizza is exceptional (had the one with the würstel) and they also feature the typical local pasta called scialatielli. I highly recommend their scialatielli alle vongole with a hint of tomato sauce. It is a delicious dish and very filling. Their selection of ice creams is really good too (featuring the Antica Gelateria Del Corso) and the Caprese ice cream must be tried (although not everyone will like it due to the mixing of very different flavors). Just one warning: cover and drinks are relatively expensive (our bill was 30% pizza/​pasta and the rest was cover and 2 cups of Coca Cola).

We ended up here 3 nights in a row. It’s laid-​back, inexpensive, and delicious! The caprese salad is a must. They make a mean pizza, the pasta is delicious, and my boyfriend loved the seafood risotto. We saw many a person diving into the half chickens that were roasting in the fire, but we couldn’t bring ourselves to spend a meal eating roasted chicken in Italy.
The service was wonderful and the staff was really great in accommodating us when they were very busy. In my mind, you can’t go wrong with Peppinos.

Half chicken is 5 euro… Wine is 1.25 euro… Whole chicken take away is 7 euro… AND it was delicious! Not to mention super busy and lots of locals… If you are visiting this is a must!!!

Great little place. Service was great and so was the prices. Compared to Rome and Florence our meal was about 10 euro cheaper. I got the pork sausage which was very delicious and my wife said the Sorrento style gnocchis were the best she has had. If you find yourself near Sant’ Agnello come eat here.

We www recommended this by our airbnb host. He says they cater to locals. I had the fried seafood. Calamari and shrimp. It was good and fresh. What I thought was cool was the large fire pit? Out front where they grill chicken. Hubby had chicken. Said it was good. House wine red was fizzy. not a fan of that. But good service. Glasses were dirty on the inside. Fairly inexpensive.

Great restaurant! Off the beaten path and away from the faster pace in Sorrento, this place was probably the best meal we had in Italy. Great tasting and inexpensive house wine, perfect serving sizes, and a nice seating area. I’d definitely recommend this place to travelers and locals.

Sorrent und Umgebung ist ja für Neapel so ein bißchen das was Timmendorf für Hamburg ist. Ein nicht ganz günstiges Ausflugsziel. Aber es geht auch lecker und preiswert. So z.B. bei Peppino, einem kleinen Restaurant, das berühmt ist für seine im Holzofen gegrillten Hähnchen, die zuvor mit Kräutern eingerieben wurden. Das sieht jeder Wienerwald blass aus. Aber auch Pasta und Pizza sind gut. Am Wochenende ist es zumindest draußen rappelvoll.
Auch 3 Jahre später war es wieder wunderbar.
