This hotel has great amenities and a beautiful pool BUT the walls are paper thin. I can hear every conversation of every group of people that walks down the hallway. There is a problem with the way the doors were made and every door that closes slams and literately my walls shake. I can hear fireworks outside my patio door. I have already been moved to a different room once. I would never recommend this hotel if you enjoy sleeping at night and I would never stay here again. Very very disappointing. I have a back problem and after long days touring I need sleep to recover my muscles which makes getting no sleep that much worse for me. I DONOTRECOMMEND Hilton Sorrento.

Lovely hotel! They do a fantastic job offering the consistency of an international chain with local touches. Fantastic location on a hill a quick ten minute walk from town gives great views and a feeling of being a little bit removed from hustle and bustle. The property is beautiful, with simple, well-tended grounds surrounded by citrus groves and neighboring properties. Our room(717) was surprisingly large and bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was huge and very well appointed. Guests on the 7th floor or who buy or qualify through Hilton points status can use the 7th floor club(«Il Settimo») which is a wonderful perk. Il Settimo is open all day with indoor and outdoor tables(also a small private pool and fabulous views.) It’s always stocked with a wide range of hot and cold drinks, plus a very good full breakfast(eggs, meats, cheese, yogurt, rolls, toast, cornettos, and fruit), afternoon tea, and happy hour with rotating snacks like small sandwiches, hors d’oeuvres, cookies, etc. Don’t miss the indoor pool, which looks like it could have been designed by Hugh Hefner. There’s also a cool larger outdoor pool(actually two pools connected by a small waterfall) and tennis court. Decent restaurant — service a bit chaotic but the romantic view can’t be beat. Nice full in-room kettle with well-restocked tea/coffee and cups.

My husband and I were there a month ago and we would definetly go back! Perfect location in Sorrento indeed. Very expensive so don’t even bother eating there…10 euros for a tiny gingerale!!! The rooms were surprisingly big for Europe, very clean… great balcony view of Mount Vesuvius. The staff was very friendly and accomodating indeed. You can walk to town from the hotel… safe bet to stay here when in Sorrento.

Lovely stay at the Hilton Sorrento! We were here three nights in February — room 621 — with a beautiful view of the city and sea. Sorrento is a short walk away and is a great home base for seeing Pompeii, Paestum and other ruins. We had a car but the hotel will also arrange tours for you. Staff was fabulous — anyone we encountered was extremely helpful and took the extra step to make everything about our stay special. Would love to stay here again if we visit Sorrento in the future.

Out of all the cities were visited, I had the best time in Sorrento! I honestly could have skipped Milan, Rome, Venice and just came straight here! Although it was nice to have some comparison of other parts of Italy. You pretty much have it all here! Warmer weather, ocean breeze, ocean views, historic buildings, citrus trees, tomatoes, volcano, mountains, seafood and all with that Italian charm. We stayed in room 534 and had a lovely balcony with an ocean view. We were also able to see the mountains and the town. You can hear bells ringing from the balcony and it was the most peaceful feeling. I was impressed with how large the bathroom was and it had marble sinks and a seat in the shower. Again, WiFi is not free in your room and it’s only free in the lobby area. Note that hotel provides free shuttle services to restaurants. I highly recommend making your way to one called Ristorante Vela Bianca and you meet a charming man named Michele(Michael) who is the restaurant manager. The restaurant is about 10 minutes away right by the pier(same pier that takes you to Capri island). The have the best seafood there! The only other place that can compare to the views at the Hilton Sorrento Palace is probably in Lucerne, Switzerland when we had a view of the lake and mountains. The other best thing about the Sorrento Palace is their breakfast! Out of the 7 hotels we stayed at, they had the best food for breakfast and the most variety! Fresh mozzarella cheese, melon, yogurt, breads, baked goods, eggs, bacon, fresh oranges to make your own juice, large variety of other vegetables and fruits. They also had a lot of fresh squeezed juices. We ate in the room with the indoor pool twice and the third time we ate in another room with spectacular views. This was my absolute favorite place we stayed at during our vacation. Totally in love and will be back!

There’s an indoor pool that looks straight out of a Esther Williams film. The breakfast buffet is excellent; it has an orange juice machine so that you can make fresh squeezed orange juice on demand. The room was nice as well. We had an excellent view of the town and ocean from our balcony. The hotel seemed relatively new.
