This small out of the way restaurant is such a fine. Run by husband chef and wife waitress. We throughly enjoyed out meal here. No view but the food makes up for it.

I ate a delicious asparagus cream… Roasted rabbit… And they were excellent!!!
If you want reasonable prices and excellent food you must to come there!

This is the true definition of a hidden gem! Paolo’s food is spectacular! He features dishes that are built on local and extremely fresh (and extremely high quality) ingredients. This is an absolute must for dinner if you are staying anywhere near Tremezzo!
I was truly astonished that Paolo is a one man show. He does it all and he does it so well. The pasta was amazing, my wife’s rabbit was truly the best I’ve ever eaten, her asparagus tasted like it had come directly from the garden, and my foie gras was also excellent (and a huge portion). Throw in a bottle of local wine that paired well and was very reasonably priced and this dinner was incredible. I’d give Paolo 6 stars if I could.
And, BTW, the value here is also off the charts. I thought our bill (with a bottle of really nice wine) should have been at least 30 euros higher than it was. At first I actually thought Paolo had made a mistake. Turns out it’s just great food at a great price.

Antica Trattoria Del Risorgimento is simply one of the ten best restaurants I’ve ever eaten at. I have traveled all over the world and the United States and nothing prepared me for the wonderful meals I have experienced at this small one-​man operation (owner/​chef/​waiter). Prices are very reasonable: € 20 for two courses and € 30 for three courses. Fish is fresh from Lake Como and the owner grows many of his vegetables. We have eaten there twice and already have reservations for one more night before we leave the area. I would venture to say that none of the higher priced tourist restaurants north and south of Mezzegra could be any better than this tiny gem! Highly recommended! I could recommend specific dishes but everything is wonderful!
