A 24⁄7 mamak full of variety of cheap and tasty food consist of roti canai, roti tisu, indo mee, burger and mixed dishes. i do not recommend the mixed dishes to be eaten after 6pm as it will be there til the whole night since morning! Ew! Also what i like about coming here is just having a place to chill after 10pm with my drink Limau Ais or Teh o Halia and chat. The food sometimes takes long time to cook and sometimes they will forget so dont make your order complicated or else! No food for you! I would usually order Indo Mee(Its instant noodles where you can get it in supermarket but the reason why we order it here because 1) Lazy to cook 2) They can add egg and beef patties 3) Tastier

Mamak place ahoy! This is my 4th option to go for in Desa Sri Hartamas, after Pelita, Spicy and the Indian stall behind Ambank. The reason is because the food is just moderate and about 10%-20% pricier than those 3 options. Working around Mon’t Kiara I just want a reasonably priced food with decent taste and I think they did not flair well in both. Their nasi kandar is more on the sweet side, lacking fragrance on Indian curry fragrance. The shop size is rather small and stuffy hence the space offered by Pelita a few steps away is much more comfortable in terms of space and also ventilation. Being in a warm and packed environment is definitely not my precious lunch outing especially in a warm country like Malaysia.

One of the better mamak chains in town. Bestari Desa Hartamas is a very popular spot amongst the locals in the hartamas neighbourhood. Bestari is well known for their nasi biryani and their countless side dishes. As soon as you walk into the stall, all you see is food. Personally I always go for their signature indomee daging(instant nooodles with minced burger patties). The roti here is made to order and is always crunch on the outside and soft on the inside. The drinks here are always good and I’ve never had an issue with the quality. The one thing I really like about the mamak is that cleanliness here is a priority to the management. The outlet is always presentable at all times. Parking here is abit of an issue though I’d recommend finding a parking spot behind of the outlet.

I love the indomee burger here! It’s sooo tasty! It’s definitely one of the things I have missed since I left for the states. Any malaysian would just adore the dish. It’s Indomee goreng with a normal Ramly patty chopped up in pieces. It’s a simple dish that looks weird when presented but it’s tasty. There are many more dishes that can be ordered. They even have mixed rice with a variety of choices of meat and vegetables. It’s like any ordinary mamak but the food is pretty on point when it comes to bestari. Sadly bestari is only within the mont kiara and Hartamas area but it’s worth the distance guys!

Given the amount of different mamaks in Malaysia, one has to try to stand out by having something special to offer. For Bestari, they have their indomee daging which is indomee with beef patty that is minced which gives the indomee a different flavour and texture. Besides that, they also differentiate themselves by serving hot wok food such as fried rice and sizzling mee which is pretty good. However, the branch in plaza mont kiara does not have very good service though as they take quite a while to serve me especially in the morning for breakfast(I work in pmk).

By far my favorite mamak in town. What makes a mamak so special? I’ll be glad to answer that question. Here, you can find the most amazing Indomee ever, or to be more specific, Indomee Daging(Beef Patty). Its a fairly simple dish– a combination of minced beef burger patty and fried Indomee. Top it with a watery sunny side up, and Mamamia, life is complete. I highly recommend, no, I’m asking you to go and try this. In addition, they also have other dishes that will not disappoint you as well. I personally like the Honey Chicken and Thick Soy Sauce Chicken to go with my main. They also whip up an above average Teh Tarik, which is the most important catalyst in a long night session. I haven’t tried it, but I’ve also heard they have good Nasi Goreng. Maybe I’ll on my next visit. This place is definitely a must go.
