This restaurant is amazing and never disappoints. We enjoy everything from the excellent wine list to the expertly prepared food to the beautiful courtyard. This restaurant is a must stop for anyone looking for creative and perfectly cooked fare in San Jose.

Fabulous! We literally were just driving around looking for a parking spot when we passed La Panga and had a peek through the door. It looked interesting enough to check out and sooo glad we did. The ambience reminded us of an intimate restaurant we found in Trinidad, Cuba. The colonial structure balanced perfectly with the colorful lights that illuminated the interior tiered gardens was just magical. We didn’t have a reservation on this Friday night, but the 5 of us only had to wait at the bar for about 15 minutes before being seated. The pina coladas and margaritas were on the small side but delicious. The dinner menu was the most inventive of any place we’ve been in Baja. The chef clearly has a great understanding of flavors and textures and a designers eye for presentation. Lots of Wow!-factor going on here. We ordered the specials de dia — sea bass entre and spinach cream soup appetizer. Scrumptious. The hit of the table was the chicken dish on the main menu. Who knew?! I had the tuna steak. It was a bit over done and the crust was tasty but a bit too salty for my liking. Thus the 4 stars. Another note: the $$ is not accurate. This restaurant is definitely in the $$$-$$$$ range. Well worth it for a special dining experience.

An intimate outdoor patio setting with incredible food and great margaritas. The catch of the day was possibly one of the best meals I’ve ever had! Definitely a must go when in cabo!

Wow, just about the most beautiful restaurant in all of Los Cabos. We made reservations here to celebrate our wedding anniversary, and the experience did not disappoint. We had stumbled across La Panga the previous evening as we were wandering the streets of Downtown San Jose del Cabo. The restaurant is almost exclusively outdoor garden seating with the exception of one larger indoor party room. We originally sat outside, but were able to move indoors since it was a bit chilly and we weren’t dressed for the colder weather. Although we later learned they have Mexican blankets they will loan you if you’re cold! Everything about this restaurant is charming. The outdoor patio garden has quaint seating with beautiful Mexican lanterns. There is light mariachi music playing and Palm trees swaying under the moonlight. The food was delicious and the plating presentation was the best we’d had in Los Cabos. If you want an intimate dining experience with great service and beautiful food, you’ve gotta try La Panga. Bonus tip: On Saturdays, the back half of the restaurant transforms into a mixology discothèque and goes until 4am. We didn’t get to check it out this trip, but the setup looked really magical.
