Great lunch place of you are into grain salads and paleo diets. Portions are on the healthy side so if you are overly peckish, you’d better order some sides. Nordic salad with pulled pork is my fav. Could get crowded with the office crowd during peak. Im still unsure about plastic cutleries though.

I was look for a quick bite to eat while strolling around Queen St. and Misters was right up my alley. It was a cute hole in the wall type of coffee shop. I walked in and loved the vibe. Cute, cozy, with a green wall. I could see myself spending a relaxing afternoon thumbing though a magazine and sipping a flat white with organic almond milk. Well back to reality, I was in need of food stat! I looked over their lunch menu and decided on a Cuban Bowl with Pulled Pork. It sounded great! I asked if they had Wifi and the staff provided me with the code and I sat down to check some emails. My food came quite quickly, and I dug in. It was not bad. I liked the idea of the bowl, with quinoa, pickled cabbage, and pulled pork. I could have opted for a different protein, but felt it was appropriate for the cusine. The pork had some crisp to it like it was cooked in house, but lacked flavor. Overall, the dish lacked flavor. I really wanted to ask for hot sauce, but didn’t. Overall, I really like the ambiance and the staff. I also like the idea of the food items they have, but the flavor fell short for me. I would be willing to try this place again, and perhaps another dish. Maybe, I’ll come for breakfast instead.

Enjoyed a(vegan friendly) breakfast bowl to go — in a nice compostable container. Possibly a little pricey for the size, but lovely to see all the menu options clearly labelled with the vegetarian and vegan options. I’ll definitely be back to try the nut milk and lunch options out. A nice space, with friendly staff — and the music not too loud, making it a good choice to eat in.

Love the concept of this café and fell in love with their seasonal menu. Their recipes are made with wholesome healthy ingredients that are spray-free, organic and locally sourced. Cool that they do not charge extra for special nut milks either. All of their all their food comes in compact takeaway containers for ease of transport/on-the-go people but there are seating indoors if you want to dine in. Recommend staying in as they have the most beautiful feature, real-living green garden wall that I adore. Loved the entire exposed brick wall and wooden slat floors, wooden table and chairs. Can’t miss it’s entrance, just below Black Hoof. Definitely intrigued by the Spiced pumpkin smoothie for the pumpkin alone. Was blended with their housemade cashew milk(cool) as well as banana, pumpkin spice, vanilla bean and maple syrup. Found it a bit too watery for my liking but the flavour was decent. Also had a sip of their Green smoothie from a friend. Be warned it tastes as green as it looks. A blend of again, their own housemade coconut milk plus banana, apple, pear, kiwi and spinach. Definitely more a creamy, thick smoothie kinda gal. The base of their french toast is their own cinnamon brioche with a warm blackberry and apple compote– perfect for the winter season. Found it a bit small but at least beautiful with an edible flower and healthy with coconut yoghurt and activated almonds. Spied their acai bowl which also has Omaha organic berries, sliced bananas, bit of granola and coconut. Wasn’t hugely impressed by breakfast, but keen to try out their lunch bowls. Love the atmosphere and philosphy of this place though

Easily one of the best new cafes in the CBD and perfect for a quick lunch — they offer a range of lunch«bowls» and cover off different cuisines, e. g Levantine, Korean, Jamaican which includes a protein portion and delicious sides. The breakfast menu is equally delicious and they do great coffee/healthy treats. Top of the list as far as I’m concerned.

Excellent café to satisfy your inner hipster. The whole menu is vegan/vegetarian friendly. The only sugar they use is coconut sugar. Every milk alternative you could wish for(soy, almond, coconut, etc). Good, house-blend coffee. Great atmosphere.

Ok so… how have I not been to Misters before today? I knew they existed but just hadn’t quite got there… well now i have and i LOVEDIT! Tucked away on Wyndham street in the CBD Misters was buzzing when we arrived at 12.30, clearly a very popular lunch. We were very lucky to get a park right outside which made the whole experience pleasant from the start. Misters is a great open space, lots of wood and greenery. The menu is extensive which made choosing very hard. The breakfast menu looks great, and they have a great array of milks so I’m looking forward to trying a coffee there. For lunch today I had the Jamaican bowl with coconut rice, pickled cabbage and pulled pork= YUM, and i must say for $ 14 amazing value. I couldn’t go past the rich cacao torte with cacao ganache & freeze dried raspberries, this insanely amazing cake is gluten free and dairy free. Probably one of the most decadent cakes I’ve had in a long time. My gosh and how could i forget– i also shared the triple cooked agria potatoes, these are served with a homemade aioli. A nice little side. All the food is served in recyclable packaging. I’m so excited to get back to Misters and try more of the divine looking menu.

A great place for light, flavorsome food in the city. The menu is both creative and thoughtful; the African Bowl is excellent. Crisp zucchini fritters are topped with rich harissa, fresh tzatziki, and zippy arugula. A base of cumin-scented cauliflower rice adds low-carb, grain-free sustenance. Beverage menu is solid. The tea offered is from Harney & Sons and beverages can be made with an assortment of freshly made plant-based milk. Wonderful customer service. Super friendly staff members were happy to give me access to wi-fi upon asking. Great to see compostable takeout containers and serving ware, though real plates and cutlery would be a more sustainable option.

I’ve stopped by Misters a few times for my after-gym-but-before-work coffee(I’m slowly filling up a coffee card. Small pleasures.) I love the feel of Misters, and I love the philosophy. I also very much love that you don’t get charged more for dairy alternatives in your coffee. They don’t always have my dairy alternative of choice(almond, baby) but I appreciate the thought. The food — the one time I ate here several months ago — I remember being healthy-tasting: quite nice, but not moreish. People have already noted the awkward serveware, and the awkwardly small portions. My sister and I splurged and ordered the whole of one side of the menu so we weren’t left starving. But that’s not how we’d usually eat, by any means. It’s the kind of place that I’ll keep going to in the hope that it reaches the heights to which it aspires. It has a little way to go.

The selection of interesting salads and vegan/vegetarian options makes Misters a go-to spot for me when I’m meeting friends with difficult dietary requirements, but it wouldn’t be my first choice if I was by myself because the Price: Portion ratio is all out of whack. The smoothies are the best I’ve found in the central city. I recommend the spiced pumpkin one if you’re a bit hungry and don’t want something sweet. It’s rich and satisfyingly wholesome. The cacao one is bittersweet. The date and nut butter one is really good, and the sweetest(eg. most normal) of the ones I’ve tried. Be warned that the bowls on the lunch menu are pretty small. They’re packed with yummy fresh ingredients, but although they’re handily served in takeaway boxes, I would never end up with any to take back to work. Two lunch dishes and a side set us back $ 34, putting Misters right at the top end of this healthy fast food bracket. A smoothie and a coffee for $ 13 in the morning is a bit more palatable.

Well the restaurant is surely nice and when you are inside you do feel a good atmosphere and at peace versus the road traffic. The menu is not bad but the prices are really steep for what you actually get in the plate. BTW not a plate but a recycled box. So basically 14 nzd for a small vegetables with beef on top. So small that be ready to be hungry afterwards. Smoothies are not bad be again 9 dollars for a small/medium cup… So could have been a good experience is portion were bigger and food tastier. But no, won’t be back.

I feel a bit mean spirited giving this place three stars after everyone else’s high praise. However, I visited for lunch and don’t think their menu is as good as at breakfast. If you are into healthy organic fare(think little bird unbakery), then this place may be for you. On the other hand, if you are after a more meaty lunch, all that you’ll find on offer are a couple of meaty ‘biscuits’(buns). Yes get are tasty and yes the place is kind of cool. But they should replace their decomposable takeaway containers with real crockery and make their breakfast last beyond 11am on weekends.

I have been frequenting Misters for a few weeks now. I wanted to try a few items on their menu before writing a review so I could get a real feel for their food. And boy, I’m glad I did! Misters serves fresh, organic, dairy AND gluten free meals and drinks, which is a nice change(and you definitely feel great afterwards). Some meals are also vegan, vegetarian or paleo, so there really is something for everyone! So far, I have tried their Vegan Rice Paper Rolls($ 5.90), Cacao Smoothie($ 8.90), Rice Don with chicken($ 13.90), Buckwheat & Chia Seed Griddle Cakes with blueberries($ 9.90), Ranchero Beans with an egg and chorizo($ 9.90) and an Iced Cacao — like an iced chocolate, but far tastier($ 8.90). Everything has been great so far — highly recommend the Iced cacao(perfect on a hot summers day) and the Ranchero Beans were so good that I’ll be having it for breakfast next week! The first time I ate at Misters, I was a little wary of the food being served in takeaway compostable containers(possibly because it is so new to me), but now I see that it’s great for the environment, easy to eat out of, and perfect to take back to your desk, or to eat later! They also serve juices and coffee, and the best thing about the coffee is that you get to choose the milk, from dairy to soy, rice, hazelnut, almond or cashew! Plus they use iced coconut cream in their iced drinks — absolutely delicious! I am so happy Misters has opened. I really love their concept and it is great to try out new foods that you wouldn’t normally eat/make yourself!

Love this new kid on the block! Great open space with lots of wood and greenery so very calm. Their coffee is great and the have a huge array of different milks including almond milk and cashew milk that they make themselves. Their menu is small but delightful with mix of vegetarian, paleo, vegan and gluten free options. This is my new sanctuary in the city!

Look at you Wyndham St — picking up your game… Misters, the latest addition, is located just beneath new hotspot, The Black Hoof. They serve preservative-free, organic where possible«real food.» Fresh, fast and good for those on the go — perfect pit-stop for the time-poor corporate kids. Got dietary restrictions? Misters has got you covered w handy symbols next to each dish indicating if they’re suitable for vegetarians, vegans or paleos(?). I popped in a couple of weeks back. Hungry but not ravenous, I ordered their Rice Don — toasted sesame brown rice balls with a fresh, crunchy salad and a ponzu dressing(I added tofu too). The dish was beautifully presented but I couldn’t get past the fact that it was served in a takeaway container. Totally legit if it’s predominately a takeaway joint but I reckon it seats around 40, maybe more! It was awkward to eat out of but more importantly, imagine the waste(the packaging is eco-friendly but surely it still takes a while to decompose). Perhaps this is just temporary thing… they did just open. As for the food itself, the rice was cooked perfectly and the crunchy salad, was the perfect accompaniment. Salt & Pepper would have been great(although a friend that went the following days tell me that these two come in paper sachets) and more(MORE) of that tangy Ponzu dressing — we all know tofu can be rather bland on it’s own! All in all, a cool addition to Wyndham St with some really interesting menu options. Looking forward to going back. Perhaps will actually takeaway this time…

Organic food, friendly to all whether your gluten free or lactose intolerant. This charming establishment is the next up and coming takeaway /café to hit Auckland cbd. Tucked away on Wyndham street this eatery is filled with comfort and space, and of course a gorgeous living wall to lighten up the space. I had a butter nut smoothie which was creamy but light and a egg wrap with bacon and spinach. Both hit the spot with out over filling like many of my usual breakfast spots. The owners Mr Fraser Jamieson and Mr Alex Brayne are busy serving customers, creating delicious dishes and providing banter with each other and their customers. One of the brilliant ideas these two have had is to make everything takeaway, providing customers with recyclable takeaway containers. It’s wonderful to see a trendy spot that cares for the environment. There’s an air of excitement in this new spot to be, don’t miss out, in a few months I’d say you’d have trouble getting in to try their delicious food. With out a doubt this is the new spot to try!!!
