Rendezvous Grand Hotel Auckland

Lovely and comfortable. We found this great hotel after finding ourselves in a horrible Motor Inn in Hobsonville. Without getting into too much (irrelevant) details about why I was there in the first place, let me just say the Rendezvous Grand Hotel was the beautiful, clean, and cool haven we needed.
Below is a breakdown of our stay.

Overall, this is a beautiful place to call home for a few days. I’m so happy we left the Motor Inn we were staying at for this place. Such an upgrade without breaking the bank.

That was my second stay here in as many years and I liked the experience. Very helpful staff and clean and spacious rooms. The breakfast is a tad expensive, but otherwise worth the money.

Awesome Stay! I have to admit that our room we originally booked was under renovation and had somewhat of an ant infestation, but as soon as we called the front desk they took a quick look at the room and upgraded us to a room with a Gorgeous view of the city with a complimentary bottle of champagne! The location of the hotel was perfect! Walking distance to restaurants and attractions and parking was easy and cheap! Very classy hotel and extremely friendly staff. Will definitely stay here again!

This was our first trip to Auckland and we booked thru a wonderful travel agency (Go Travel Team!!). We visited Sydney first and while the hotel we had there was nice and fit our needs, this one exceeded our expectations by far and we were consistently amazed by the wonderful level of service and assistance we received from the staff. The hotel is very well kept and the rooms are gorgeous with amazing views, it was hard to push ourselves out the door some mornings to go exploring but it was always nice to return back! Thank you!

i had a shoot at this hotel. the interiors are just gorgeous, the staff is so nice and friendly, we were shooting near the bar just outside the balcony, when this amazing young man walks up to us to offer some glass of water as we were shooting for quite sometime his name was arit or atir. something with an A., i was very impressed since i havent seen something so sweet happening to us at any of our shoots, this just shows that the staff is always alert and always looking out to serve their customers.
I later ordered some food for myself and other models, it was mainly just bruschetta with goat cheese and tomatoes and garlic bread. my love for italian food has only increased after relishing these two dishes from the rendvous bar.
Keep up the great service and hire more people like atir, i cant wait to return to you guys for the amazing service again.

My boyfriend and I recently stayed at this hotel for a weekend in escape in our own city… We got a deal off one of those voucher sites and had a really great time.
Sometimes when you go to restaurants or events or hotels with one of those vouchers, they kind of treat you a little bit worse because you didn’t pay the full amount. The people at Rendezvous were so lovely. From the moment we arrived we felt special. We were shown to our room by a really nice guy who let us in on all the places to go in Auckland. Yes, I come from here, but we pretended we were from Wellington. It was funny.
The room was nice, with a good bathroom, tv, fridge and nice bed. We also had a good view of the pool. We went down to check out the gym and had a swim in the pool. There is a nice outdoor area which would have been good for sunbathing had the weather been better.
It’s right in the middle of the city making it really easy to walk to numerous great restaurants and bars without having to worry about an expensive taxi ride home.
We had a really nice time and it’s a weekend that I remember fondly.

The Rendezvous first came across to me as cheap and someone you would go if you were having an affair just because of the name. But this certainly led me astray because Rendezvous is one of the nicest hotels I have been in and I have travelled the world.
The high end fashion/​accessory stores and Louis Vuitton bags placed decoratively around the lobby set the vibe for an extremely classy and elegant hotel.
My friend and I only got a standard room but it was still very nice and came with full use of the pool and gym which were huge and beautiful.
The Rendezvous Grand Hotel is definitely not somewhere to take your mistress, it’s too nice.

Rendezvous is a perfectly fine four star business hotel. Its part of a chain, and all that implies applies here: it’s slightly lacking in character, but has everything you need in your room, and offers all the usual hotel facilities you’d expect like room service and a gym. They have a club room up the top available to people in Club Rooms, where you can have complementary cocktails and pre-​dinner canapés whilst you gaze over the mid-​city (note that’s not the most inspiring view). It’s got three restaurants, including a Japanese one that they claim is very good; I’ve never been there so I can’t comment.
Unfortunately, also like lots of chain hotels I’ve been in, there’s a few little shabby bits around the corners here; the bathroom of the room I was in definitely could have done with having all the tiles and grouting replaced as they were definitely a little old, and some were cracked and a little grubby. They also could do with paying their housekeeping staff more so they have time to wipe dirty marks off the wall, something they obviously can’t do at the moment.
Rendezvous is one of the largest hotels in Auckland, so in order to make the use of all their rooms, they often have specials on; it’s worth asking them what the best rate they can offer is.

I managed to afford this fancy night in town on some kind of grab one type deal with my now-​married friend on her hen’s night. It’s almost everything you could ever want out of a night in a luxurious hotel except it would have been cooler if there was a breakfast included. I would even have settled for continental. Although, maybe they just don’t do that for us cheap grab one types. Also, I wish there were bathrobes. There’s something to be said for sitting around in your hotel room in your bathrobe. But other than that, the facilities and cleanliless and overall fancy feel to the place were everything you would expect, so you won’t be disappointed after a night here. (Unless you REALLY love bathrobes.)
I also ordered room service (you’d be hungry too if you’d just been prancing around town on a hen’s night) and ate some kind of delicious sandwich (and fries, obviously) which came up hot and promptly. Room service success, although at room service prices ($ 22 for a sandwich! But it beats traipsing around town in the middle of the night when your feet are too sore from dancing in fancy shoes that you’d never otherwise wear in your practical flat-​shoed life).

Rendezvous is a 5-​star hotel right in the heart of the city, and deservedly so. This hotel offers everything you could ever want for a luxurious and relatively affordable night out. They regularly have special deals, which can all be found on their website.
The last time I went, I had a deluxe double room for 1 night with included parking and a breakfast voucher, all for $ 170!
The rooms are spacious, tastefully decorated and clean. I actually felt out of my depth there, being from humble little South Auckland. There was a window seat with a fantastic view of the city at night.
It is also in a prime location; close to hundreds of restaurants and things to do.
