Spring Day Spa is located a bit out of the way(especially for a North Shorian) in the quiet suburb of St Heliers. It’s a relatively small space but they’ve made the most of it with mani pedi stations downstairs and private therapy rooms upstairs. I don’t normally book massages but I had been given a voucher to Spring Day Spa for my birthday and having read the reviews on Unilocal, could not wait to use it. Taking Neera J’s advice I booked a private room for a 60min massage. My therapist, Alex, was fantastic! I’m often hesitant to ask for deep tissue massages at days spas because most of the time, the pressure is too light but this was not the case here! I left feeling so relaxed — all the tension from my neck, back and shoulders had dissipated. I will most definitely be back! Highly recommend.

I’d been in dire need of a massage for months… After a few days straight of migraines and a long weekend with no plans, I decided to treat myself and get a massage and pedicure. A friend recommended this place, the sister spa to East Day Spa(apparently), at a lower price point. The massage was incredible. My therapist was a sweet French woman who was a wonder. Sadly it sounds like she’ll be moving on soon, but if you can get in before she leaves, don’t hesitate!!! My back feels wonderful!!! The pedicure was also great. Not sure if it’s a «thing» here in NZ, but they didn’t have any nail driers. So don’t do what I did and forget your flip flops and have to wear the cheap throwaways all the way home on the bus(fail). Here’s what kept it from 5 star status — the setup is a bit bizarre. If you want a «private» massage it’s an extra $ 20. Otherwise you’re in what they call a «pod», where they draw curtains around the table and it’s pretty private but there are some pretty significant gaps. Awkward when you’re stripping down to your skivvies for the massage. I was able to completely relax once I was in massage mode, but a bit weird because you can hear people chatting right next to you getting their nails done. If that’s going to be a problem, splurge for the private space. More of a problem was the smell of nail polish while you’re breathing deep into your massage. Icky. They need a bit better ventilation or something. Or keep the spaces separate. That said, as others have commented, the ambiance is nice and chilled out and the music was pretty perfect. I’d go back, and maybe splurge for the private, fume free space.

Very excited about this new addition to St Heliers. Amazing, friendly staff. Excellent products– they use all Bliss products from NYC that are great. Awesome interior. Music is just right. Well done. Can’t wait to spend more time here!

This place is incredible — so relaxing, beautiful staff, beautiful décor and not sterile at all like a lot of other spas. They have a huge variety of treatments to choose from, including some 15 Minute options(lips /eyes etc). You must try the ‘eyes and shine’, and only $ 25. Bargain. The Hot milk and almond pedicure is also well worth trying!
