Cheap drinks, beautiful view, not much going on around 10pm on a Friday. Service was great.

I went here two nights in a row. The food was great! Service on point as well. The mussels were great, and when I asked for more bread to sop up the delicious broth, I got half a loaf! Lol. Thanks! Would definetly come back and bring some friends

So disappointing. The entrée menu offerings were limited. Appetizers were very good and served in a timely manner. But we waited almost 1 ½ hours for entrees that were mediocre at best. Mahi tasted like it had been frozen – not fresh. Chicken pasta(which was ordered as a second choice 15 minutes after we ordered and were told they were out of grouper) was lukewarm. And skirt steak that had been ordered to be medium rare was almost raw. Server never acknowledged the long wait. It took the manger 15 minutes to make it over to our table. He did at least take the steak off the tab but this was a major tourist trap in our opinion.

There are some great drinks but the food needs some improvement. The sandwiches are sub-par when compared to the appetizers and entrees. The sautéed lamb sandwich was very tasty but too salty. We waited so long that we didn’t have the heart or stomach to send any of it back. Won’t go back for food, but the view can’t be beat. Such a shame.

This place was hard to find as the street is narrow and has limited parking. The place is quaint and is right on the ocean with a great view. The food was pretty good, pretty basic though. I think it’s more the place to go for a drink and the view.

Great food. Reasonable selection of beer. Service was surprisingly fast(by PR standards). The servers were fun and took the time to hang out and tell us about the area and give us advice on things to do in Rincon. Would highly recommend Tamboo!

I love Tamboo and come here every time I stay in Rincon. It is located right on the beach and even has an upstairs area thats pretty sweet. My BFF and I split appetizers which were buffalo wings. they were extremely saucy but they had a nice cake and taste to them. For our entrees I had the grilled chicken wrap and it lacked flavor and was dry. Even the tostones I had were just OK… but the sauce on the side saved them a great deal. Tamboo is the happening place to be at night because they have live music and the atmosphere is just phenomenal. During the day it’s a great place to catch a bite whenever you’re sunbathing on the beach which it’s just a few steps away. I must say though, it gets extremely crowded in the streets & are lined with cars. So you better come early or walk if you are staying in one of the nearby hotels or condos.

We were in Rincon for New Years, and were told the Tamboo was the spot we needed to do it up at, so right when we got into town we headed over. If you’re familiar with Florabama on the Florida/Alabama line, it’s like a smaller version of that. We were able to enjoy a live band, DJ, fireworks, all without a cover which was great considering we’d probably would’ve dropped at least $ 100 in New Orleans. The bar was a little weird, I was charged two different prices for the same drink order, and then a friend missed finding a good spot for the stroke of midnight because the bartenders stopped serving to take shots together to celebrate. Future reference, don’t try and get a drink 10 min. till midnight on New Year’s Eve, peeps. A couple of days later we returned to have dinner. We wanted to sit up top, and were told to find a spot up there and a server would be with us. We saw that they make Bushwackers, though not advertised, and they looked absolutely perfect to enjoy on our last night. We ordered a round, brought them upstairs, and found a spot but the server working the upstairs looked like they had a lot on their hands, and wasn’t really responsive so we came back downstairs. We had a tab at the bar, so we ordered two more drinks from the bar and closed out. My boyfriend had placed his half-empty drink on the top bar, and the bartender poured it out. When my boyfriend said something, the bartender said the top bar was his bar, and that he shouldn’t have put his drink up there but still made him another drink… I get the misunderstanding since one of the drinks was for another person at the table, but I don’t understand the attitude. It’s Puerto Rico, it’s beautiful, and it doesn’t make sense to be that way. We ordered the calamari, and the HOT wings. If you really do like HOT wings, ask for hot sauce or ask the kitchen to kick it up a notch ’cause I didn’t really think they were spicy. I had the grilled fish wrap, and the guys had the corn-crusted grouper. The grouper servings were huge and there was no way they could finish it, definitely split-able. We came here at night both times, so we didn’t really get to take in the view though the moon was really pretty one night, and there is beach access. I think Tamboo is great for a night out, and a couple rounds of Bushwhackers, just don’t put your drink on the top bar and if you get a good deal on a cocktail, stick with the same bartender.

Nice place, nice view and very cordial staff. The food is good. I had a ceviche and tuna fillet«vuelta y vuelta»: both were great! Also the view on the beach and ocean is nice. Definitely a nice spot to stop.

Great view of the ocean. Great place for New Year’s Eve celebration. Rooms are ok. The owners are great people. But for New Year’s Day, they close the restaurant. They lost a lot of money on that day. If they are going to close on that day, they should have a map of the area with all the restaurant that are open on that day. We were lost looking for a place to eat. For New Year’s Eve they told us that they were going to close the kitchen at 8pm and when I talked the waiter around 6:45 he told us that they were not going to serve us because they had a lot of people that night and they were busy on the kitchen. The New Year’s Eve party was great, the best… People all ages enjoying the night. Great live music, DJ, fireworks at midnight and roasted pig. Ok, day number 2… I was wondering why we had ear plugs on the night stands. Well, they have a big generator on front of the building that ran all night(the power went out). The earplugs didn’t work at all… So do not stay on front of the building. Specially room number 2. Also, the mattresses are really old and crappy… Not God for a told person. So, from 4 stars is going down to 3 stars. Day number 3, we lost the room key and we waited 2 hours for somebody to stop by to drop the key. The lady that brought the key told us that they only work from 8 am to 6 pm. The lady was really mad with us about it. I told the lady that we were on the beach and anybody can loose there keys at any time. So, if you have any problems at night they don’t have anybody to deal with any necessities. Ok, don’t eat here they don’t know how to cook at all. The food doesn’t have the Puerto Rican taste. Trust me go to another place to eat. The island have other places with the same view or better. This places is good to party and nothing else. So, from 3 stars is going down to 2 stars. Ok, Friday night. DJ night, great music. But, everybody who was here were kids, 18 to 22 years old.

Tremendo local frente al mar. Tienen una terraza de dos pisos en madera frente a sandy beach. Se pasa muy bien. ¡Buena piña colada!
