Lechon is one of the best I’ve tried so far in my life. The meat is very tender. Pork skin was extra crispy and I’d highly recommend this place. I am here on vacation and accidentally came across this place. Thank goodness I did.

Excellent food and great service. Besides pork they have chicken. We are regulars here and love the consistency. Always have a wonderful time.

Great bbq, they roast the pigs on the premises. They also had numerous sides, including smashes plantains, sweet roasted plantains, rice, several kinds of sausage, and a decent bar. It’s a great place to get adventurous — bf loved the pork stomach!

Honestly just had it yesterday and already craving it and wanting to make the roughly 45 minute drive for more. Was recommended by several people before making the trip and seconded by the front desk at our hotel. The lechón and arroz con gandules, which is their specialty, was so incredibly flavorful. You’ll be dreaming about the crispy lechón skin. The meat was very tender and not as fatty as you might expect. Don’t forget to try some of the plantains and other sides as well. There are a bunch of lechoneras on this road and I hope to come back again before we leave to compare. If you’re visiting and want some authentic Puerto Rican fare, I highly recommend.

Just off the highway. Best pork in PR. Cook whole pig for 4 hours, skin is crispy and delicious, meat is flavorful and juicy. Very popular amongst locals. Excellent coffee shop attached next door.

Just off Highway 52 on your way to the South of the Island is this great Lechonera. They have excellent lechon(pork) and wide variety of typical sides to make your dish a very Puerto Rican fare. I have to say I have never been disappointed with the quality of the food. Don’t miss the longanizas(chicken sausage) or the morcilla(blood sausage). And if you are not into meats(as my wife) the different local root vegetables are great, and do not miss the sweet potato which is just succulent. The best part is you can afterwards end your meal in the Café Prieto, just by, with excellent Puerto Rican coffee and a sweet dessert sitting in the deck surrounded by bamboo.

If you are on your way to Ponce on the 52 or coming back stop at this awesome Lechonera. Their specialty is Authentic Puerto Rican Lechon(Pork) they also have other authentic Puerto Rican dishes like Arroz con Gandules, Morcilla, Tostones, Pasteles and Pollo Guisado among others. Their food is very flavorful and tasty. Service is friendly and prices are very reasonable. You can take to-go or eat there. Try them you won’t regret it!

Everything here is sooo delicious! Well worth the hour drive. The portions are large, so go hungry! I don’t know the names of all the items we had, but none out of our group of ten had any complaints and we were all stuffed beyond belief when we left. To bad we cannot get food like this back home.
