Just like the name suggests, it’s all pure and natural! Came here with my parents the day we landed and got various varieties of their veggie sandwiches. Definitely needed an extra kick, but nothing some sriracha couldn’t fix! My parents came back while I was ziplining and tried the veggie burger and said it was very good. So sad I missed it :(. Their juices looked amazing as well, sad again I couldn’t try. Really impressed with the variety here. Service was a bit weird(café with on/off waiter service), but I would definitely recommend coming here at least once if you’re staying nearby!

Really good place. Fresh juices, smoothies and the veggie burger hot the spot. Inexpensive, clean and friendly service.

The veggie burger here is SOO good, our group LOVED it! I wish it was not as pricey though.

The place doesn’t accept credit cards– be warned. You should not expect fast service for take out or sit down average wait time is 46 – 60 mins and they will not get your order right. We and another group for lunch experienced the same issues. They also have a no refund policy because they mislead you saying their«credit card» machine is down so beware that they will not help you if the order is wrong. Decent food but not worth the wait

Ordered the veggie wrap and chicken wrap and both scarfed down our meals. Delish but agree the service is slow, I’d recommend calling in your order for pick up and eating picnic style on the beach.

My sister-in-law and I stayed at La Concha for four days and we didn’t find Pure & Natural until the day we left, which makes me feel sad inside. I ordered a veggie gratin wrap which was served with warm grilled veggies and lettuce with a swiss cheese and rolled in a tortilla. I had to eat it with a fork and knife as the warm veggies were making the tortilla wet and difficult to hold. I really enjoyed the flavor except the swiss cheese was a processed cheese and not a natural cheese. We intended to get a fresh juice to go but we were too full. The service was slow but that seems to be every restaurant we visited. Our service followed up with questions we had and went to the kitchen to get correct answers. If we ever visit San Juan again, we will make sure to stop at Pure and Natural again.

We stayed at La Concha and were tired of their pricey, sub-par lunches so we ventured out in search of lunch by day 3. We decided to give Pure and Natural a try largely based on what we read on Unilocal. It is right next to Wendy’s with a fairly small sign and we would have probably walked right by if it weren’t for Unilocal. True to other Unilocalers experiences, the service was definitely lacking– the girl could have cared less when we walked in and the food took forever to come out. I ordered the portabello burger on a pita and my husband got the turkey wrap. Thank goodness the food more than makes up for the crappy service! We really enjoyed every bit of our sandwiches! The restaurant itself isn’t anything special so we took our food to go and ate it on the beach. I would definitely recommend giving this place a try for lunch. It far surpassed the lunch food at our hotel. They take call ahead orders, so if I were to do it all over I would place my order ahead of time and pick it up.

The food was good. I wanted something light and tasty and this place provided that for me, for lunch on my first day in San Juan. I have it three stars because the service was bad and the décor is old. It’s an outdated, rundown building.

Gave this a try b/c there were decent reviews, and I couldn’t really find anything else near my hotel. I happened to see another juice bar on the way. Once I arrived their selection was relatively small, though it included fruit and veggies for juice. Ultimately I did not get anything because they were out of celery, spinach and even oranges. Perhaps I would have enjoyed the fruit smoothie, but the lack of selection and welcome /attention paid by and attitude of the staff, in what looks to be a small intimate place, made me decide to go back and try the other juice bar up the street. Seems like a better distributor and staff attitude would greatly improve what could be a great juice shop. As it happens Crush Juice Bar had all of the ingredients that Pure & Natural were out of, and their fruit & veggie selection was more extensive as well.

This place is awesome for their juices but has the most horrible service I have ever seen. If you have time to wait and aren’t rushing to get to class or have anything of importance to do then yes, this place is totally worth going to. The food is delicious, the juices are yummy; in that area the place is amazing and one of only a few places that I have found that serves vegan/healthy food in Puerto Rico. Apart from the long wait and particularly lacking service, they tend to run out of ingredients as another reviewer stated previously. I just asked for a juice that is supposed to be a house«special» and was told that they were out of ginger. A few weeks ago I was told they were out of soy. I found it a bit bewildering that a health food place could run out of such keep ingredients but again, they are one of the few healthy places in PR so I’m stuck coming here. All in all the place is ok but really, I get frustrated coming here and find myself going to other places to get my healthy food fix.

LOVELOVELOVE their menu! been here twice, going for a third time today. i was sooo happy to find this on my last trip to PR in June. I will always come here a few times on a trip to the island. smoothies and juices are very fresh and have a large variety. not many places with veg options, so I was really happy to find this. service is «eh». no smiles from wait staff, they are just not happy to be there :/ And, please understnad, after reading the other reviews, that to have that much fresh fruits and veggies on hand all the time is impossible, so they may be out of a few things when you go(the price you pay for freshness).

In Puerto Rico it felt like the options for healthy food were bananas or rice… neither of which really made my heart jump for joy. So I was extremely delighted to stumble upon Pure and Natural which lives up to its name. The falafel salad was awesome and big enough that I was able to turn it in to two meals, saving me the trouble of trying to find another healthy option later in the day! My husband also really enjoyed their whole fruit smoothie. The place was packed from the moment we walked in to the moment we left and everyone seemed to be enjoying their food. I only give it 3 stars because I watched them hand out the wrong order a few times, ignore a lot of people and generally weren’t all that friendly.

This place was an oasis in the sea of, well, seafood options in Candado. And other meat only restaurants. I knew finding veg options was going to be a challenge, but I wish we would have found this spot before our last day in Puerto Rico. They have all the local dishes like mofongo, and burritos as well as some wraps, pasta, and a big variety of juices and smoothies. I was happy to have vegan items labeled on the menu, and the watermelon juice I ordered combatted the heat perfectly. The menu is huge, so they do tend to run out of ingredients, and the place is pretty small, so I could see having to wait if they’re busy. These weren’t really issues when we went, but it’s something to be aware of i guess. All three of us in my group were totally happy with our orders.

We ordered the grilled chicken wrap and the mahi mahi salad. The wrap was supposed to have avocado in it and was one of the reasons why we ordered it. Although it was absolutely delicious with nice big chunks of chicken, spprouts and other veggies, it didn’t have any avocado. When we asked about it, the waitress non-chalantly said they were out. This was a lunchtime and considering the type of place it was, you’d think they would get some from the market since many of their items had it. Even so, you’d think she’d mention it when we ordered the wrap. The mahi mahi salad was okay. Not much mahi. And not sure why they had cheese and sour cream as ingredients when the rest of the salad wouldn’t have mixed well with it. Good thing we asked for it on the side. The passion fruit dressing was absolutely delicious and we dipped our wrap into the dressing. I’m giving it a 4 star because of the dressing and wrap(even though the service was lacking). We even went back to get wraps to go to take for our flight the next day.

I am torn — I really want to give this 4 stars, but the REALLY long wait for food and number of «we don’t have that today» items make me bump it down to 3. You know it’s a long wait when even native Puerto Ricans are asking the servers, «Falta mucho???»(Is it still going to be awhile???) Was here for lunch on a Friday. The restaurant looked clean and elegant. We got here before the rush and sat down right away. Don’t wait for someone to seat you — just make eye contact with someone working there and seat yourself. We got menus pretty quickly and ordered within a few minutes. Our juice came out super fast. So fast that for a second I even doubted it was freshly made, but when I took my first sip, it was delicious — really refreshing. I had the seared tuna salad and my mom had a veggie wrap. We waited at least 45 minutes for our food and I was ready to start gnawing on the table by the time it came out. The greens were great and the tuna outstanding. The candied walnuts were a bit too sweet for my taste. They had the flavor of brown sugar, and I sort of felt like I was eating a cookie. My mom said her wrap was great, but difficult to eat because it was sort of falling apart and moist at the base. She used her fork to eat a lot of it. We must’ve been lucky in terms of ordering because I overheard the 2 couples next to us make their order and apparently the restaurant was out of chicken. And some fruit, I didn’t quite catch which one. To have a successful experience here, I recommend the following: *don’t be super-hungry when you arrive, and allow 90+ minutes for your meal *get some juice!!! *Have an A, B and C plan in terms of ordering, and make sure they don’t all contain the same main ingredient(ie chicken salad and chicken wraps are not suitable backups to chicken tacos). That way if one item isn’t available that day, hopefully you’re second or third choice will be. There was enough on the menu that I wanted to try, that I could’ve easily had backup items.

Conveniently located across the street from a Dunkin Donuts and Baskin Robins as well as adjacent to a Wendy’s, Pure and Natural is the perfect snack bar for ridiculously good looking male models and female Brazilian ju-jitsu blackbelts. The food wait was so long I nearly grew a hipster mustache, but it was good for me to burn those calories because I was clearly the fattest non-model in the building. The portions were petite and I would have left with a two-star attitude, but the overpriced food that I did eat was mega-delicious. In short, I was not cool enough to eat here, my stomach was not full, but my tongue was happy.

This is the first place in Puerto Rico that i found that features green veggies, brown rice, and tofu on the menu. Located next to Wendy’s, its a small place that can fit probably 20 people. Menu is exactly what i love to eat and features 3 pages of fresh fruit and veggie juices. I opted for carrot apple ginger but the told me they were out of apples which was peculiar since nearly half thier drinks include apple. So i went for the carrot lemon ginger juice– oh my! Tasted exactly how u imagine. Needed it to «clean» me up from all the fried foods. For lunch, had terriyaki salmon with brown vegetable rice and stir fry veggies which included generous portions of brocholli, mushrooms, onions, carrots. Food was simple, fresh, and delicious. Meal was $ 15 and they even provided hot chili sauce on request. Some of the women who work here are completely unenthusiastic about working and are borderline unfriendly. And i was disappointed they close on sundays. But this place is a gem for healthy eaters bc there are few choices in PR

service, cost, FOOD, cleanliess — all 5 stars. I never had a tukery wrap this succulent. It was THEBEST turkey wrap I ever had in my LIFE. I know, how good can a turkey wrap be? I thought the same until I had the one at Pure and Natural. The abundant sprouts and other veggies just made the wrap so full of flavor with the tint of spicy mayo. If I could visit Puerto Rico again, this place would be on my Top 10 To-do list. The smoothies are amazing and so fresh too. It is not too liquidy, not too thick, just perfect. Seared tuna with brown rice was also a wonderful treat. I have to say again, I never order seared tuna cuz I know I don’t love them. My bf got this and WOW, it blew me away. It changed my mind that I actually can like seared tuna. The brown rice was cooked well and the sweetness of the soy sauce(?) made the last finish. I believe what they serve at Pure and Natural is not the ideal«tourist food» you would want to get while in PR, but WOW… this place is amazing. I wish they had a place here in philly! !!!
